Raffle Winner: Dave Gazaway was picked; no “pot” won. Program: (Alex King Eagle Scout of BHS first, then Maggie Stier, Director of Marketing and Development of Canterbury Shaker Village) Alex talked about his scouting project which is to put up new siding walls around the current impound lot near the safety building instead of/in addition to the current fence. He is working on donations for his project currently costing $800.00 Jerry Kingwill announced Maggie Stier - who talked about “The Enduring Legacy of Shakers in Canterbury”. Shaker Village in Canterbury was started in 1792 and in 1969 it was incorporated as a museum. Next year will be their 50 th anniversary as a museum. The last shaker died in 1992 and they are now focused on educating children and adults on the aspects of shaker life. May 5 th is the opening day of this year and there are may opportunities for corporate sponsorship. Canterbury Shaker Village is one of the top 10 Historic sites in N.H.
