Announcements
 
Holiday giving: We will be doing a virtual pass the hat for donations to Bow Human Services. Bob Couch will be setting it up on the Club site.
Credit Card payments: President Matt thanked Bob, Paul and Gerry for working on this. President Matt
4 Way Test: President Matt stated that 2020 was a year like no other. Please remember the 4 Way Test when interacting with others.
Annual Club Meeting: The Club needs to contact our annual meeting to present the proposed slate of officers and other Club business. Karen Wadsworth moved to postpone the meeting to January’s Club Assembly meeting. Dick Swett seconded. Motion passed.
Bell ringing reminder: Today is the day.
 
New Member
Carol Niegisch was inducted into the Club. Since we cannot sign her book, members are asked to reach out to her via e-mail. Welcome to the Club, Carol!
 
Sgt. at Arms
Ben Kiniry filled in. He laid down a $1.00 fine to whoever had not finished their Christmas shopping.
There were logo fines and a scooter.
 
Happy Bucks
 
Matt Gatzke gave a Happy $20. He and Sandy had a great time in Boothbay Harbor They are also grandparents to two dogs.
 
Dick Swett gave a Happy $5. One of the Swett boys, his wife and three kids are moving back to the area from North Carolina. He travelled down to pick up 20 boxes of stuff for them and picked up a snowblower. He gave the snowblower to his son and it didn’t work. He looked outside and saw that a friend from church was clearing out his driveway. A great example of Christmas spirit.
 
Harry Judd gave a Happy $5. Two of their kids came home. His snowblower broke down so the kids cleared the driveway.
 
Gerry Carrier announced that $10 had been raised in the ugly sweater challenge. There are outstanding invoices for fines, happy bucks, etc. You can find out how much you may owe on the Club site.
 
Tamar Roberts gave a Happy $5. She recently ran in a 4-mile ugly sweater run. She is be participating in the 599 Run around the perimeter of the state. She will complete it on December 31. The have a rescue dog from the south and he/she had a great time in the snow.
 
Betsey Patten gave a Happy $20. She is settling into her apartment. She loves the fact that she can look out her window watching everyone clear off their cars while the maintenance guys cleared her car off. She’s still unpacking boxes and she is happy to be a member of Bow Rotary.
 
Dean Cascadden gave a Happy $25. He pulled out his guitar and sang every verse of Winter Wonderland. He then proceeded to sing a Bob Rivers tune Walking Around in Womens Underwear.
 
Carol Niegisch gave a Happy $20. She is looking forward to being an active member of the Club.
 
Michelle Olivier gave a Happy $5. She thanked everyone for the flowers and for their support.
 
Dave Stack gave a Happy $5. He recognized Dr. Dean Cascadden as a man of many talents and thanked him for his performance.
 
Birthdays
 
Gerry Kingwill first paid a logo fine. He was able to visit his family in South Africa in March. They have changed their business operations and it is going well. His family is good.
 
Club Assembly
 
Secretary:  Gerry announced that we have had 88.3% attendance. The Club has 51 members, with 46 active members. Dues have been paid.
 
Treasurer:  Paul reported that we have $17,628.99 in Club funds and $38,500 in the Foundation
 
Interact/Rotaract: Dick and Steve reported that there has been 20 kids showing up at meetings. The Flocking program is going well. Mailboxes have been set up at the elementary school for letters to Santa.
 
Auction: Gerry announced that there is still time to donate to the Scholarship Fund. Michelle drew winners for the Auction Raffle. Names to be withheld for now.
 
International: Chris gave an update on the clean water project that he had talked about at a past meeting.
 
Meetings: The next Club meeting will be on January 8, 2021.
 
Merry Christmas, Winter Solstice, Holidays and a Happy New Year to all.
