Announcements:
  • Donna Deos – District conference went well, she was voted in as 2024-25(?) DG!
  • Bob Couch – Christmas Trees update:  will have sign-up sheets next week.  Trees will be delivered the Friday, day after Thanksgiving and will start selling that day.
  • Gerry Carrier – Pavilion update: Hasn’t heard back from builder, chasing him down.
  • Dick Swett – Interact busy making about 200 wreaths, will bring any extras to the Rotary tree sale, although last year they sold them all at school.  November is canned food month, bring in canned foods and Dick will bring it to the school. Up to 26 students in the club.
  • Peter Imse – Earlyact also making wreaths, wanted to sell with Interact but early orders mean they might already be sold out!
  • Chris Parkinson – Up to 21 people for Honduras trip, will be working towards raising medical supplies (more to come).  Safety concerns are about equal with past years.
  • Ben Kiniry – District Grant might be finalized today!  $80,600 raised for the cause!

Sergeant at Arms: Bryant Stevener
Birthdays: Aron Labrie and Gerry Carrier.  Aron not present but we did sing to Gerry. Boy do we miss Bev Page!
Gerry – Challenging year due to surgery this past spring followed by long Covid. Looking forward to a better year next year.  The good news is family is doing well, very appreciative of the help he got from friends and family (including Rotarians).  Looking forward to continuing to help others in the years to come.

Fines:
Dave Scanlan – Many, many recent TV appearances.  Bob Couch says the trick is to get extra pins and put them on every sport coat!

Happy Bucks:
  • Tamar Roberts – Appreciated working the polls with Eric, 3.5 hours to get through the first half of the alphabets for absentee ballots, great to be out and see friends
  • Dean Cascadden – Happy buck for Tamar, gave a great history of Bow on the Zoom call this morning.
  • Bob Couch – Couple bucks, great 6 months in Canada, good weather, taught a table-making class with good group.
  • Tom Ives – Salmon fishing in short sleeves in November!  Baker Free Library Foundation is kicking off their November fundraiser, be ready to receive a letter in the mail, but even if you don’t get one, please stop by the library and help out the BFL.
  • Ken Moulton – Very glad to be out of the basement following 10 days of Covid.
  • Chris Parkinson – Congratulations to Ben for all his work on the District Grant, Congratulations to Donna as soon-to-be DG!
  • Matt Dodge – Thank you everyone for all the help with Auction, special thanks to Matt Gatzke and Judy Goodnow!
  • Donna Deos – Excited to be an upcoming District Governor!
  • Matt Gatzke – Daughter Emily celebrated their 2yr? anniversary with beautiful weather this past weekend.
  • Eric Anderson – Thank you Tamar for putting up with him for 3+ hours, thank you Peter for providing the “gold standard” for voting experiences
  • Peter Imse – Election went very well, team of 30-40 volunteers, lots of behind the scenes work.  Secretary of State’s office very helpful (thank you Dave Scanlan!)
  • Dave Scanlan – Nice to have a smooth election, what makes NH unique is the elections are run very locally, by neighbors that people can trust. Still some recounts happening, tight races for control of NH house.
  • Dave Gazaway – Thank you for veterans for allowing us to have things like elections.

Program:
Matt Dodge – Raffling off unsold auction items, thank you club members for stepping up!

Bob Couch – Reviewing how best to use ClubRunner.  Your weekly Bulletin has all of your committee & program assignments, and greeter responsibilities for the entire year at the very bottom so no excuse for forgetting.  “Member Area” has just about everything you would need (history of emails you’ve sent, balances for pending bills, “how-to” videos. Reviewing your committee assignments allows you to see the other members of your committee.  The one feature not used enough, in Bob’s opinion, is the “documents” section of ClubRunner.  This has replaced the “black books” that we’re used to passing around as committee chairs.  Please make sure your birthdays are valid so we can properly recognize you!

Respectfully Submitted,
Matt Dodge
