Announcements:
Ben Kiniry reported on Trunk or Treat. Not as many trunks but It was very well attended. Mike Gula (with a little help from Ben, sold out their raffle tickets.
President Gerry announced that we raised $650 in member donations for Amigos de Honduras trip medications, the club is matching, so the total is $1,300. Chris Parkinson expressed his sincere gratitude.
Judy Goodnow: Auction runs from November 6 – 9. The Old Town Hall will be open Friday evening so bidders can physically see auction items, try clothes on, etc. Chance to interact with fellow members, drinks and food. Spouses and others are welcome. 5:30 – 7:00 PM.
Carol Niegisch: Auction update. The committee continues to collect items for auction. She thanked Interact for their support and selling raffle tickets. All tickets sold!
Mike Gula: Was interviewed on air by Jack Heath at our local radio station, and Mike promoted our auction. 107.7 station and others.
Peter Imse: Thanked members for support counting ballots. Is in good shape for Tuesday’s election.
Membership Committee: Matt Gatzke reported that the committee is meeting next week.
Interact: Emily, Hannah, and one other (name?) presented on their Bird Seed Wreath Sale coming up. November 15th. 120 Wreaths. Handed out flyers. If interested, e-mail lchaffe@bownet.org or cbarrett@bownet.org
Liam Miller from Interact presented his Senior Project. Liam is putting on Veterans Day breakfast 9:00-11:00 at Bow High School on Veterans Day, November 11th. Encouraged veterans and their families to attend. We can RSVP to Liam, Steve DeStefano or Dick Swett.

Birthdays:
Jon Ruggles($8) turned 80 this week! Challenging year with his wife passing in September. Celebration of Life at Red Blazer, over 250 people attended, so a wonderful tribute. Jon now has angina, but doctor detected a 90% blockage and repaired the problem. Jon is doing much better and is walking the golf course again!

Linda Bliss: Worked Trunk or Treat. Shared a story of stuffed dog, Toto, taken as treat! She had to chase down the 3yr old to get it back.
Dick Swett: Last week of politics before Tuesday vote!
Bob Couch: Happy to be back in Bow. Shower completely tiled at house in Canada. Had a great three-day visit from his grandson and yet to be fiancé Megan. They did several hikes together and toured the island.
Mike Gula: Worked out recently and saw Joya Dennehy then went to library and saw Karen Wadsworth. He appreciates being a member of this Club and knowing so many good people. Visiting son at Hussin college this weekend.
President Gerry: Happy to see Bob Couch back, and Paul Mercier live, in person as well!
Paul Mercier($20): Appreciated the warm welcome. Has not attended a live meeting since 2020 since pandemic. Great to see everyone!
Durwood Sargent: Served on property committee with Paul Mercier, and was happy to see Paul as well.
Ben Kiniry: Ran into former member Mike Fortier recently. Mike is retired and is a former board member. Ben encouraged him to return to the club as a member. Sandra McCarthy is a photographer who asked Ben about Rotary, so Ben invited her to join us at our club meeting today. Welcome Sandra!
Dave Farr: Anniversary of his mom passing, but the good thing is he has been spending more time communicating with his sister. Had a great year coaching (middle?) school soccer team.
Program:
Peter Imse introduced our speaker, Salvatore Prizio. He is a 30 year veteran of music. Is now the Executive Director at the Capital Center of Arts and is Chair of Arts of NH.
He is originally from Connecticut but spent many years in New York. He owned a coffee house in 2008, which had music played at his shop. He was a director at a music school. Sal then transitioned to a job of programing bands in the area. Sal reminded us how the local community and Concord saved the Capital Center of the Arts in the 1990s. He became the Executive Director for CCA in 2021, right when COVID hit. His goal as new Executive Director is to modernize things and change how operations proceed, especially post pandemic. They have two significant kitchens on their location. They now have a Culinary Arts Program to encourage local citizens, especially those coming from other countries, to enhance their restaurant/cooking skills with the goal of helping them open their own restaurants. Sal provided another example of how the CCA gives back to the local community.
