Michelle Fortin announced that we have over $4,000 in donated items and over $900 in sponsorships for the auction. Keep up to good work!
Tom Wilson announced that Roadside Pickup is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday, 10/8). We meet at the Park-n-Ride in Bow Junction at 8:00 am.
Birthdays:
Tamar Roberts is celebrating an important birthday today! We will avoid stating which important birthday out of respected for the aged. She reported on her sons’ educational achievements. She will be running a 20K race in Labrador soon.

Mark Lavalle was fined for making his guest late even though both arrived early. Go figure!
Happy Dollars:
Durwood Sargent (former Bow Rotary Member and Visiting Rotarian) thanked Jon Ruggles for helping out with some much needed electrical work to keep the freezers running at the Friends of Forgotten Children.
Rob Werner was happy about running the Smuttynose Half-Marathon.
Dean Cascadden was happy that the Bow High School Golf Team won their fifth Division III championship. Yeah Falcons!!
Jeannie Gerulskis was happy to announce some up-coming events at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center; A representative from NASA (Maurice #1) will be making a presentation on the Hubble telescope, an astronaut who grew up in Manchester (this lowly scribe neglected to capture the name) will also be appearing at the Center, and the NH Astronomical Society conduct their First Fridays (of the month) starting at 7:00 pm by setting up their telescopes for the public to share in the experience.
Raffle:
The winning ticket was drawn by Gerry Carrier and the raffle was won by Jeff Kipperman.
Program:
The day’s program was Club Assembly.
Mike Griffin sitting in for Eric Anderson reported the following facts;
- The Club currently has 58 members; 53 active and 5 honorary.
- Attendance for the month of August was 90.72% with September looking to top 90% as well.
- 16 members accounted for 20 missed meetings thus far this year.
- 5 members still owe dues and fees.
Paul Mercier gave an abbreviated financial report since his papers were still on his table at home!
Gail Kenison reported that the Sergeant-at-Arms is well on his way to meeting the goal set for his “earnings.”
Dave Scanlan gave a Club Service encouraging members to line up their speakers well in advance of their scheduled meeting so they can be well advertised.
Sandy Eldredge reported that the International Committee continues to work with a club in India to provide grants for bringing technology into the schools. She also announced that an informal activity is to participate in the Tree Lighting at the Gazebo on 11/27.
Jeannie Richards reported that the Membership Committee is still active. The effort to start an Early Act group at the Bow Middle School is moving forward with several faculty members stepping up (one a former Inter Act member).
Gerry Carrier reminded us that the Auction Committee still needs volunteers. Christmas tree sales will commence on 11/26. And, of course, the Car Show is set for May 20, 2017.
Gail Kenison announced that our District Governor, Dennis McMann, will be a Board Meeting on 10/20 at Paul Mercier’s home and will attend our meeting on 10/21. We were warned to “be on our best behavior.” The “or else” was implied.
