Announcements:

• Jerry Kingwill announced about half of the trees have been sold and there still open slots to help sell.
• Gerry Carrier Announced that a sign-up sheet for “Bell Ringers” is going around for December 20th with 30 minute increments.  He mentioned that tonight is Midnight Merriment in down town Concord.  Gerry laid down a challenge to increase Sargent at Arms funding, he will pay the fine for any member who wears a Christmas sweater next week.
• Peter Imse announced he will be collecting for Forgotten Children next week.
• President Scanlan announced that the Bow Rotary received an anonymous $10,000 check from a previous scholarship recipient.

• Gerry Carrier boasted his team sold the most trees so far
• Gale Kenison objected to Gerry’s claim saying she and Donna Deos sold the most, much banter erupted.
• Matt Gatzke said that he and his selling partner gave the most amazing costumer service selling trees
• Jon Preston had a birthday last week
• Chris Parkinson said he attended a Blue Cross Blue Shield reunion dinner on Thursday
• Peter Imse was happy the Bengals won a game
• Paul Mercier paid a no Badge fine
• Steve DeStefano, something about a Thanksgiving dinner, members were still arguing about who sold the most trees 
• Tamar Roberts is happy her son was accepted with full scholarship to Australia University
• Karen Wadsworth said there is a reception at the Bow Library tonight for the new Librarian it will have the best food and be held in the best meeting room.  She went on to say the new Librarian is moving from Alberta Canada and had problems crossing the border.
• Rick Minard said Jerry Kingwill made the tree sale possible.  The Concord Coral is singing tomorrow night.
• Dick Swett said he would buy more trees than someone (maybe Rick)
• Matt Dodge; he left his gloves at his office and Ben Kiniry offered him his best pair and went on to wear his not so great pair.  Matt said he was late for his shift and didn’t have time to change clothes so he sold trees in his suit.
• Guest Matt Matern donated $100 in honor of New Hampshire’s 100th anniversary as the “first in Nation Primary”.

Dave Mattson is a best-selling author, sales and management thought leader, keynote speaker and leader for sales training seminars around the world. As CEO and President of Sandler Training, Mr. Mattson oversees the corporate direction and strategy for the company’s global operations including sales, marketing, consulting, alliances and support. His key areas of focus are sales leadership, strategy and client satisfaction.

Dave served as an Army Engineer and has received the David H. Sandler Award. He has worked with for profits and not for profits.

Some of what has changed in the last 25 years is introduction of a new tool: cell phones. Computers, social media, Linkedin, Face Book et al.  Cold calls still work, “you have to work for it.”.  Everything is now measured and evaluated.
