Mike Griffen announced Roadside pickup for next Saturday. Bow Garden Club also has Rotary Park Pick up on the same day so service will be split between the two.
Donna Deos announced the Golden Ticket Raffle for the Tilton Club
Dean Cascadden announced a tentative date of Thursday June 1, 5:30 for Awards and Recognition possibly at the library or the town hall and will replace the Friday meeting that week. Much more information will be forth coming. This year the emphasis is on three areas: our club, the community and the student clubs.
Dick and Warren from the Bow Men’s Club talked about “Flags Across Bow”. For $40 the club will raise a 3X5 flag on your property for five holidays. Money to be used to support charities and the youth group. Enrollment forms were distributed, and the details of the program were delivered.
President Gale reviewed April greeters and programs for April.
Bryant Stevener announced training for Clubrunner on April 28 during the meeting.
Birthdays/New Member Inductions:
Chris Nicolopoulos turned 40 with quite a year. Great kids, new house with an all-around successful year with no age related depression or concerns.

Happy Bucks:
- Dick Bean talked about the ‘Around Concord’ Magazine he acquired and revived.
- Dave Gazaway brought up the technicality of this being a business solicitation with no happiness, but was not supported.
- Jeannie Richards just got back from a month of happiness in Phoenix.
- Judy Goodnow just got back from the Boston Flower Show with hope that spring is almost here.
- Gerry Carrier paid a whine fine for spending too much money at that show.
- Karen Wadsworth had a great time with a daughter from Phoenix who wanted to see snow, and she did.
- The hard working scribe was fined for whining for some illegitimate reason.
Raffle:
Judy Goodnow won the raffle but did not pull the joker.
Program:
Program topic: Club Assembly
Eric Anderson reported on membership and attendance with a bunch of numbers. Fourth quarter payments are due, and Eric wants to finish up the year ASAP. Club has fronted the dues money so please get it in.
Paul Mercier said we are doing pretty good with the money followed by another bunch of numbers.
The secret Rule 85 club was explained by Judy. Years of memberships (20+) plus age must be equal or greater than 85 then there are certain exemptions from dues and requirements. A new form clarifies this and will be made available to certain members.
Dave Scanlan said Club service is rolling along.
Sandy Eldredge mentioned 4 way test speech, new resident’s packet and the career day event.
Judy Goodnow talked about the new Bow Map and how to fund it, print it and distribute it. Calendar updates were given for a lot of community groups.
International Service mentioned the India Grant
New Generations was covered by Peter Imse. Interact and Earlyact have new officers learning the roles of leadership. Lots of energy and service events from our younger club members. They are thankful for faculty support. Both clubs are going very well. Using the club to promote the speech contest was mentioned by Chris Parkinson.
Gerry Carrier spoke of roadside pick-up, the concert series, and the car show. Dave Gazaway was called to expand and expound on the happening event that is growing and gaining momentum. He boasted about exceeding the auction this year. That may come back to haunt him. May 20th is the date, bring money. T-shirt sign ups and design was discussed and trophy sponsors were reminded to get their information finalized. Products for goodie bags were solicited
The show is not striving to be carbon neutral despite having a stage coach coming.
Gale closed the meeting with a happy friday and a toast to Rotary the world over.
