President Gerry opened the meeting at 07:30 and also shared this is a good time of year to check up on and help neighbors and people that have a tough time getting out of the house.

Announcements:
  • Club assembly today, please be aware that some breakfast fees are due, thanks for keeping track of attendance for events. 
  • Please remember to silence phones or pay a fine to Tanya.
  • Next week’s meeting was left out of the schedule but it’s in the works and a go.

Judy Goodnow is happy to see Tamar Roberts here today, also looking forward to teaching mahjongg to a few members.
David Farr is happy for his proposed promotion by his manager from level I-8 to I-9.
Mike Gula is happy to go skiing with his daughter at Canon tomorrow and his son had a great ecology group trip to Costa Rica.
Dave Gazaway is happy for the sunrise this morning.
Tamar Roberts is happy to be out of the emergency room.
Mike Griffin is happy to go skiing at Ragged Mountain.
Ben Kiniry has a new young student living with them, and the neighbor gave him their car for him when he's ready. 
Gerry Carrier is happy to see Tamar and whomever invented heated seats.
Bob Couch is looking forward to meeting Dave Gazaway tomorrow morning at 3:30 am to transport the Amigos team to Logan for their trip to Honduras.
Tanya Frost is happy to have her son Finn ask to attend our meetings.
 
Program: Club Assembly
  • Movie night update: tomorrow night 6 pm at Baker Free Library, beer/wine/soda/food/board games, movie is “As Good As It Gets”. 29 people have signed up. 
  • Board approved clothing samples and will set up the Bow Rotary store online, hats and T-Shirts.  Samples being ordered now.
  • Please speak up! Sometimes it’s tough to hear people on zoom and in the room.
  • Reminder: silence phones.
  • First grade readers: the board approved $1,500 for the personalized books. Thanks, Carol, for all your due diligence. 
  • The board approved $23,000 this year for scholarships and $5,000 for grants.
  • $4,442 was made on our Christmas tree sale.
  • $25,874 was the final tally on our auction this year.
  • Board approved $500 donation for shelter box
  • 4-Way speech contest coming up on March 19th. Deadline to register is March 10th.
  • Board approved $100 for special Olympics
  • Dave Far Concert committee is looking for performance ideas?
President Gerry Closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
