President Matt opened the meeting at 07:30 and greeter Ken shared some jokes he learned from his 7-year-old grandson.

Guests Names: Goldie and Ryan is all I got.

 

Ryan is new in town and went to the music concert and like what he saw.

President Matt Dodge announced that the board meeting would be moved one week later this month.  Board meetings will be moving back to the 3^rd Wednesday of the month.

Paul Mercer is helping Matt with some grant work.

 

Gerry Carrier is taking Matts place next week at Matt is on vacation

Ben Kiniry - Mobile Grant is not doing so well. Auction sheet was handed out one more time for people to look through.

Eric Anderson - Concert went well thou we had only 30 people show –up He thanked Michelle and crew for the good work.

District Golf torment next Fri meeting at the park-and–ride at 9:30 

David Farr sick cat last week after setting up room.  He thanked all the new members that worked on the building of the picnic tables.

Dick Bean’s granddaughter having a good two week at summer camp.

Mike Gula went up to Cape Elizabeth ME To run a 5K road race.  Then went looking at lighthouses.

Bryant Stevener talked about his brother moving back to N.H. from Alaska after 15 years

Program:  Ben Kiniry introduced Goldie ? and Kathy Bacon 

They talked about the Quilts of Valor Foundation It’s a nationwide organization that presents quilts to vet. that have served in combat areas. The local chapter has given out quilts all over the state.  They are handmade and can take 60 to 100 hours apiece to make.  Starting in 2003 over 100,000 quilts have gone out.  They announced that anyone could recommend someone to receive a quilt and that donation were happily accepted.  For more information, please go to the Quilts of Valor website.
