President Dave rang the bell promptly at 7:30AM to open the meeting and all participated in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Pres. Dave read a thank you note from recent scholarship winner Aidan Westenberg.
Concerts – Dick Swett announced the second concert of the summer series was a great success with an awesome band and 3 awesome workers – Dick Swett, Chris Parkinson and Jon Preston. The winner of the raffle again donated the proceeds back to the club. The next concert with be August 4th.
Ken Moulton looking for a couple more golfers for the District Golf Tournament for August 16that Brentwood Golf Course.
Cindy Anderson advised she was talking with Meghan Rhinehart and the booster club received approval to replace bleachers at the high school.
Jeff Kipperman and Gale Kenison announced it’s that time of year to start planning for the auction, November 2ndis the date and this year’s theme is Bow Appetito! The committee has more wonder exciting plans in the works, but if members could start planning on items to bring in and think BIG – like trips, Overnight accommodations, Baseball games…………
Sergeant @ Arms– Matt Dodge fined Jon Ruggles for logo, and Cindy Anderson for being late.
Fines were collected from “many” members to come up and meet Bill Ames and Cindy Anderson for not signing their books! Also, Linda Lorden for a beautiful color photo in a local paper (Bow Times) and not having a pin on.
Birthday Bucks were given by Rick Minard who celebrated his birthday and was happy and blessed to have had a great year and looking forward to the next one!

Tamar Roberts continued with another road trip story and thankful that Merrimack County Savings Bank came to her rescue. Tamar was very happy to have her cousin, Ann Washtell from England with her at today’s meeting.
Cindy Anderson sad and happy bucks for her oldest son moving to Boston and has an intern job awaiting him. Also, her other son just returned home from being aboard a 52-foot sailboat sailing around the high seas.
Tom Wilson was happy that his eye procedure is completed and with a good outcome.
Chris Parkinson happy for the team he worked with at the most recent summer concert, and this scribe believes there was a sad buck or two for a recent baseball game, hmmn wonder who that might be? Yankees and Red Sox one is led to believe.
Dean Cascadden announced the school board they will be sending out a survey for a turf field. Also commented on the great work done by the Booster Club raising more than $60,000 and will be moving the bleachers by the press box over to other side and replacing those bleachers with raised ones. Also, the school is looking a conceptional plan for renovation at the Bow Elementary School. Also giving a happy and thank you buck to the Board of Selectman on the recent settlement for PSNH.
Noreen Christensen gave a sad buck for the closing on their home, but a happy one for a wonderful new couple that bought their home. Noreen let us all know she and Steve will be cruising a river cruise for the next few weeks then toping off the trip by sightseeing in Progue! Noreen was also very happy and excited for the auction coming up!

Matt Dodge introduced– Diane Valladares, Training and Recruitment and John Wallace, Volunteer with CASA.
CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocates are volunteers appointed by a District or Family Court Judge and they speak for the best interests of abused or neglected children. These volunteers work as an official part of the judicial proceedings, working alongside attorneys and social works. They complete an extensive and independent review of each case meeting face to face with the child or children at least once a month at a minimum, but most cases involve many hours of meetings, travel and appearances in court and monitor their cases through the duration of the case, which in some cases can be several years. The volunteers attend a 40-hour pre-service training program, follow guidelines set forth from the National CASA Association, attend monthly support groups and in-service trainings, workshops and conferences.
There was a great question and answer session from the group, and the members watched a moving video.
