Dean Cascadden greeted one and all.
 
President Mike Griffin called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m.
 
Dean paused to remember Christa McAuliffe - "I touch the future. I teach."
 
Attendance: 38 members, 1 speaker for a total of 39.
 
Announcements:
Chuck Rheinhardt - Winterfest is on! Sunday, January 31.
Peter Imse - There will be a ballot counting session immediately following the meeting. Volunteers welcome.
There is also a need for volunteers to compile stats beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Primary Day.
 
Fines: Sergeant at Arms Bryant Stevener collected honor system fines and the weekly logo fine from Jon Ruggles.  
 
Happy Bucks:
Rick Minard - Tomorrow evening he and Judy Goodnow will be the guests of Sharon Eng at a Manchester Rotary fundraiser.
Tamar Roberts thanked Harry and others for setting up this  morning.
Alan Kanesberg is happy that he will be going to a warm place for 2 1/2 weeks.
Nate Sanel is happy for Alan.
Steve Destefano - His daughter and college friends went down to NYC to work at a homeless shelter.
Bob Couch - Happy that Chris Parkinson and the early team made it to Honduras Ok.
Eric Anderson - Last day to file as a candidate for Town and School elections is today at 5:00 p.m.
Chuck Rheinhardt - Thanked Harry and others for setting up. Nancy's His last day of work is today - she is retiring.
Jerry Kingwill is happy that his stepson is on the Union Leaders' 40 Under 40 list.

Nick Toumpas - Commissioner (retired)
NH Department of Health and Human Services
Commissioner Toumpas gave a brief profile of the agency.
The agency has 2,500 employees, down from 3,400 positions;
11 regional offices; and operates four 24/7 special service facilities.
 
The Commissioner discussed two big issues that the State is facing - Medicaid expansion and the Opioid/Heroin crisis.
 
Mike Griffin ended the meeting at 8:30 a.m. with a toast to Rotary the world over.
