Announcements:
  • Bow Public Library - thanks so much for the personalized books from Bow Elementary School.
  • Donna Deos - Still time to contribute to the Bow Rotary Foundation
  • Ben Kiniry - Posters for the music series are available…please distribute.  Also, music series signs are available to be placed in visible locations in the Bow/Concord area.  Folks signed up to take signs.
Sgt. At Arms
  • Ben Kiniry fined for no badge
  • Rob Werner fined for badge not physically attached to his person (it was on the table)
  • Dave Gazaway – a stolen badge….causing some controversy! Badge may actually belong to someone that looks like Dave (at least at a distance…)
The usual logo fines are assessed…
Chris Parkinson has a large Rotary sign in his garage…and would like to get rid of it as he is clearing out his garage – he essentially wants it to reside in someone else’s garage – Ben Kiniry will take it!

* Winant statue to be dedicated today at the State Library
* Bought a Ford C-Max hybrid and will pick it up later from Grappone
* Will see songstress Aimee Mann tonight in Portsmouth
* Rob and Mary Ann will vacation in Maine next week…all the way up to Lubec!

Jon Ruggles – A happy $10…spouse is recovering after a health scare with a ruptured appendix – very sudden occurrence after eating a tuna fish sandwich at the Goldenrod in York, Maine. 
 
Matt Gatzke - A happy $2 to celebrate the wedding of his neighbors two children
 
Dave Stack – Bow Safety Complex is now completed.  There will be a ribbon cutting on July 13th at 4 PM, followed by an open house from 4-7 PM
 
Tom Ives – first grandchild arrived on his birthday.
 
Dick Bean (almost member) wed at St. Paul’s Church in Concord in 1972
 
Alan Kanegsberg – a birthday for the Bow Rotary club today….June 30, 1970.  Alan joined to club on July 2, 1971 – and he has never missed a meeting!
 
Peter Imse – youngest daughter was married last week.
 
Dave Gazaway - was visiting a client who had very good things to say about R&T Electric, who had recently completed a job.
 
Ben Kiniry - $2 happy buck, $1 for biking to work and $1 for consistently giving blood once again.
 
President Gail is off to PEI for a week

Three basic goals were met…
* Start an EarlyAct club
* Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bow Rotary Foundation
* Simply have fun!

Goals for the next year…
* For the community…updated map of the Town of Bow as there are over 20 new streets in the town.
* Welcome packet
* Make old town hall accessible
* Continue to support EarlyAct
* Continue to add new members- need folks under 40 and more women
* Provide stronger support for Bow Rotary promotion in the media.
 
Meeting ended with a toast to Rotary the world over
