Alan Kanesberg welcomed one and all.
President Mike Griffin called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Alan Kanesberg noted that it was Yom Kippur next week and it is a time to ask others for forgiveness so he asked all in attendance for forgiveness.
Attendance: 39 Club members, 1 visitor (former District Governor Rich Berryman), 2 speakers, for a total of 42.
Announcements:
Judy Goodnow – Auction – November 7 at the Bow Community Building. Stuff has been coming in; the dealing for inclusion in the poster, etc. is September 30.

Mike Griffin reminded everyone that Roadside Pickup is scheduled for September 26 at 9:00 a.m.
Chris Parkinson - The Rotary Golf Tourney is coming up. Contact Chris if you are interested in playing.
Mike Griffin - The recent issue of the Bow Times contained a community calendar of events. This has been discussed for a while
and it was good to see it.
Eric Anderson gave an attendance report. The Club had 94.26% attendance in the month of August.
Eric Anderson - Dues - A quarterly billing statement has gone out to those members who do not pay their dues on an annual basis.
If you are paid up, you did not get a bill.
Fines:
Sergeant at Arms Bryant Stevener collected honor system fines and did not collect a logo fine from Jon Ruggles.
Birthdays:
Ben Kiniry recently turned 47. He had a busy year starting a law practice and taking on some more roles in the community. He and his family have now lived in Bow
for two years. Bow is a great place to live.
Rob Werner - Recently in Washington, DC. He enjoys his job at the League of Conservation Voters. His health is good and he has been
running in half marathons. Maryann is doing well. It is terrific to be in the Club.
Happy Bucks:
Bob Couch - There will be a Woodworkers Guild flea market tomorrow at the Community Building.
Judy Goodnow - She has been happily married for twelve years. The SPCA Walk was a success.
Gerry Carrier - The recent Upstairs Underground tour in Concord was great. He and his wife recently marked the 49th anniversary of their first dance.
Mike Griffin - He is hiking the sixty-seven 4,000 foot mountains in NH and VT. He recently hiked one in VT with his son.
Kate Putnam - Participated in the Pedal for Payson ride. She completed 30 miles.
Tom Wilson - His daughter Erica wanted to borrow their old hand crank ice cream maker and they made ice cream. He used to make ice cream with his grandfather.

Program: Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Devices - Lt. Tom Ferguson, Firefighter-Paramedic Eliot Berman, Bow Fire Department
- There are currently 30 AED devices in Bow, they are in all Town and School Buildings with the exception of the Bow Bog Meeting House. Some businesses also have them.
- Tom and Eliot demonstrated how to use an AED.
- The new method of CPR is to provide 100 chest compressions per minute. Good songs to help you keep the rhythm when performing CPR Queen - Another One Bites the Dust; Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive.
Mike Griffin ended the meeting at 8:30 a.m. with a toast to Rotary the world over.
