President Michelle opened the meeting at 07:30 and greeter Vanessa Palange shared some inspiration. Vanessa notes that it is “let it go” day, a time in which we should reflect and let negative feelings and relationships go by the boards.

Announcements:
Eric Anderson - The Bow summer concert series will commence on Thursday, July 13th and will run through August. The series has attracted over $4,000 in contributions, enabling a variety of quality performers to fill out the schedule. Regarding refreshments, the club has cases of soda that will be donated to the concert series, and the concert committee is considering various approaches to offer refreshments to concert goers. An overview of the duties of concerts series helpers was provided to the club, including emcee duties and selling 50/50 raffle tickets at each concert. Bow Rotarians are encouraged to attend the concerts.
Gerry Carrier - The pavilion is undergoing a final inspection and rotary signage is on the way. Jerry Kingwill and Cobb Hill Construction was thanked for their generous support of the project.
Carol Niegisch - New members project committee members will provide 2 picnic tables that will be added to the pavilion and will have a networking BBQ for Bow town service organizations.
Club Assembly:
Secretaries Report-Gerry Carrier - Regarding club operations, the member attendance percentage for May was 94%, and the club currently has 42 active members and 7 honorary members. Club dues and breakfast bills are due on June 30th, and any current member that does not wish to continue as a club member must notify the club by the June 30th date.
Treasurer's Report-Paul Mercier - The treasurer’s report indicates that the club will enter the new rotary year in July with a total of approximately $20,000 in assets. Paul will be stepping down as treasurer and Tamar Roberts will take over.
Sergeant at Arms: Bryant Stevener
Birthdays: Dave Scanlan’s birthday was on Flag Day (June 14th) and he reported that his job as New Hampshire’s Secretary of State is “a blast” and that he is looking forward the New Hampshire presidential primary. All is good with his annual physical.
Carol Niegisch celebrated her 65th birthday, and she notes that she shares a birthday with her father and her daughter. Her father is 92 years old this year.
Fines:
Vanessa Palange paid a fine as she was featured on WMUR in a story about the upcoming “rainbow” gathering in the white mountains and the security concerns that the gathering raises.
Happy Bucks:
- Dean Cascadden sends relaxation greetings from the lake post-retirement.
- Tania Frost celebrated her recent graduation from Leadership Greater Concord
- Paul Mercier celebrated 15 years as treasurer for the Bow Rotary Club and thanked Tamar Roberts for taking over the treasurer duties for the new rotary year.
- Mike Ard visited a fort in Pennsylvania where George Washington served during the French and Indian war.
- Mike Gula saluted Steve DeStefano’s amazingly glowing recent profile in the Concord Monitor chronicling his baseball exploits over the years.
- Jerry Kingwill celebrated the recent ribbon cutting at the Pope Memorial SPCA for the training center.
- Dave Scanlan thanked and recognized the efforts of the club set-up committee as he steps out of that role.
- Melissa Howard celebrated her five-year wedding anniversary, having a great time attending a Fisher Cats game.
- Eric Anderson noted that the club and its community activities are well covered in the Bow Times. He also highlighted his recent travels with his motor home in Vermont.
