Announcements:
  • Reminder:  there is no regular meeting on Friday, January 18th.
  • Rob Werner - Prospective new member event will be held at the Baker Free Library on Tuesday, January 15th.  At 6:00 PM.  Sandy will provide food, and there will be presentations regarding the work of the Bow Rotary Club in many areas.
  • Chris Parkinson – there are options for supporting World Service projects, including Africa, New Zealand, and South Africa.  Projects require a $1,000 match.  More information will be available later this month in order for the club to make a decision on a World Service project.
  • Donna Deos – Karen Wadsworth fell at home and broke her clavicle as well as suffering bruises.  She visited the hospital, but is now home recovering.  Deliveries of food are helpful and welcome, but please call Karen first before visiting.
  • Gerry Carrier – Kitchen painting will take place this Sunday, January 13th. The project will begin at 9:00 AM so it will be completed prior to the start of the Patriots game.

  • Tom Wilson - celebrating a birthday where all is good.
  • Dick Swett – celebrating 30 years in Rotary as well as a birthday
  • Chris Parkinson – 50th year together with his spouse
  • Alan Kanegsberg – happy five…flew in from Reno last night, where there is 4 feet of snow in the mountains.  Went to a club meeting at the Reno Rotary and brought home a very nice club banner.
  • Rick Minard – reminder that the Concord Chorale is performing in Concord and Exeter this coming weekend.  He has tickets
  • Michelle Fortin – Kids are home, had a great time in Montana
  • Ben Kiniry – Has enjoyed snowmobiling but needs to head north to find more snow
Raffle Winner:  Jerry Kingwill – Joker was not pulled
 
Program:
Dawn Badami, Executive Director of Intown Concord                                  
Intown Concord has a new Executive Director, Dawn Badami.  Dawn moved to New Hampshire from Florida, and has significant experience in event development and management.  She was worked for Chambers of Commerce and in the non-profit sector.  Intown Concord promotes the economic and cultural vitality of downtown Concord through many events and programs.  Upcoming events include Winterfest, which will occur in conjunction with the Black Ice Hockey Tournament.
