Birthdays:  Our president Mike celebrated his birthday and reported he has enjoyed a good year, his son is doing well at St. Michaels and daughter at Bryant.  He is most enjoying  the  ACA and its positive impact on the  Health Insurance industry.  No mention of Mike’s wife, but we suspect he is still happily married.

Program/Speakers:
Karen W. introduced our 3 visiting contestants who gave their 4 Way Test speeches which won them 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishes on the night of our club event.
Sam Selleck – 3rd place and a 2nd year participant. Sam’s speech was well rounded thoughts regarding a multi-sport vs the single sport student athlete
Emma Roberge – 2nd place.  Emma’s speech was a look into the challenges and pressures of today’s 12 year old child.
Kailey Andrew – 1st place and moving on to represent us at the District level in Portsmouth.  Kailey’s speech was centered on our elderly and the value we can place on them.
All speeches were fantastic. Those of us present or able to make the night of the contest were blessed with this years talented writers.
President Mike presented each speaker winners with the fruits of their efforts – a check.  The meeting was closed with a toast to Rotary.

Respectfully Submitted,
David Gazaway
