- Michelle Vecchione spoke to the Club about the petition to save the Bow Community Building. She distributed material about the upcoming warrant article and asked for members to review the information and consider supporting this petition to help maintain the recreational programs currently being held at the community building.

Happy Bucks: - Ben Kiniry was happy he had a jeans day, but had lots of work to do.
- Linda Bliss always enjoys the Bow Rotary Club meetings.
- Jeff Kipperman was happy he joined Rotary in 1995 and for his recent trip with his first wife to Barbados.
- Tamar Roberts was happy to be at the meeting. She is expecting to be away for a couple of meetings because of her work schedule.
- Gerry Carrier was happy about his trip to Orlando and missing the ice storm.
- Dean Cascadden was happy to be invited to speak at the Bow Democrats regarding SB193.
- Chris Parkinson was happy for his two guests and for the Patriots going back to the Super Bowl!
- Dave Gazaway gave a PSA about the upcoming Historical Commission open house at the Baker Free Library on Saturday 1/27/18 from 10-12.
- District Governor Designee Steve Puderbaugh happy to be hosted.
- Deb Puderbaugh was looking forward to travelling with her husband and visiting the Bow Rotary Club again.
- Paul Mercier celebrated a birthday happy and paid a happy $5. Had a good year and his family is good. Every day is an adventure- he sold his house and relocated to Grantham, Linda moved to Virginia and he is headed for a visit. He is still having fun.
- Dick bean was happy to send a very large bill for a recent travel brochure that was completed.
- Jon Ruggles was happy to be here following a medical issue he had on January 18th while watching a football game with his son. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and spent 6 days in the ICU at Concord Hospital. Though he didn’t remember much of the incident, he is extremely happy to be OK.
- Bryant Stevener may or may not be happy that he finally caved in and his family got a new puppy. Welcome Hershey!!

Jennifer provided an overview of the Preservation Alliance and the work they are doing around the state to preserve and restore barns. She reminded the club about a project that was done in Bow a number of years ago to restore a barn. Annually they do 100 projects. Their membership support has grown from 5K to 10K over a 10 year period. The 52 barns initiative was a huge success with a goal to help save 52 New Hampshire barns in 2017. They are focusing on small town preservation across the state. Other areas of focus are waterfront properties, old mill buildings and main streets. Jennifer encouraged the group to sign up for emails and think about getting involved. You can find more information at www.nhpreservation.org.
