President Gerry opened the meeting at 07:30 and greeter Melissa shared some inspiration on significant events that happened on April 11.

Announcements:
- Gerry Carrier: The Rotary Park stone is ready and he needs a crew to help dig to put the marker in place.
- Linda Bliss: She is working on the final nominations for recognition night.
- David Gazaway: 32 people are preregistered for the car show.
- Mike Ard: All the bands have been selected for the concert series and they are working on getting contracts finalized.
- Jerry Kingwill: All the spots for roadside pickup are filled.
- Gerry Carrier: Looking for input on cornhole date.
- Liam Miller: Interact is working on their Easter egg hunt fundraiser.
- Marcy Kelley: Reading to first grader signups will be available at next week’s meeting.
Sergeant at Arms: Bryant Stevener for Tanya
Birthdays: Steve DeStefano - Good year. Daughters are doing really good work to save the world. Had a knee replacement and recovery is going well.
Fines: Rob Werner fined for BU hockey jersey. Also gave happy bucks for good ski season.
David Gazaway: Late buck.
Happy Bucks:
- Mike Griffin: Survived bachelor party during the Louisville flooding. Driver was able to pivot and keep distillery tour going.
- Chris Parkinson: Went to New Jersey for a funeral but was able to have lunch with his brother, who lives there.
- Linda Bliss: Rotary anniversary: 28 years.
- Mike Ard: Spent time in Texas with daughter and son-in-law
Program: Judy Goodnow introduced our speaker Kate Saunders, who is the executive director for the League of NH Craftsman.
Kate started out as a volunteer but has been executive director for 6 months. The League will be 100 years old in 7 years. It began in a barn in Center Sandwich. There are more than 700 artists in the league and about 400 supporting members who pay for a subscription. Upcoming events include a fair at Mount Sunapee, an exhibition at their main location in Concord and a feature film “A Handmade Life,” which was shown on PBS and they are looking to do free screenings across NH.
President Gerry closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
