Announcements:
Bow Rotary concert summer series – all July & August concert dates have been ser, and promotion is underway. All Bow Rotarians are encouraged to attend at least half of the six concerts.
Scholarships – There were six scholarship recipients, and those recipients are expected to speak to the Bow Rotary Club in January 2024. While there was outreach to trade programs, results in this area fell short of expectations. More effort needs to be devoted to reaching out to trade programs and that effort will be a priority moving forward.
Pavilion – The Pavilion is finished and can be clearly seen from the road. There will be signage installed, donated by the Bow Rotary Club to the Town of Bow.
Committee assignments and program responsibilities for the 2023-2024 rotary year have been distributed to members. Regarding dues and breakfast charges, and analysis has determined that members have historically been overcharged for breakfast and undercharged for yearly dues. To be “fair for all concerned” the new fee schedule will roughly even out. Starting in the 2023-2024 rotary year, yearly dues will be $200 and the cost for breakfast will be $80 per quarter for a total of $520 per year for each member. It is possible for member to pay as you go. Invoices will go out twice a year, July 1st and December 31st.
Awards & Recognition night will be held on Thursday, June
15th.at the Baker Free Library.
As a result of Awards and Recognition Night, there will be no Bow Rotary meeting on Friday, June 16th.
