Announcements: - Chuck Rheinhardt announced that Sandy will not be cooking next week (Sept 1). So if folks could bring some food to the meeting all could eat.

Sergeant at Arms: Ben Kiniry collected $ from those that didn’t sign Dick Beans book Happy Bucks - Jon Ruggles described the rainy golf day for the District Golf Tournament but fun was had by both Bow teams
- Dean Cascadden won the 3 lb. lobster at the event
- Steve DeStefano and Ellen celebrated their 33 anniversary
- Tom Ives told about his canoe vacation trip of 9 days in Minnesota
- Jeannie Gerulskis was pleased with the great turnout for the eclipse at the planetarium and Jeannie made a new best friend
- Ben Kiniry and family went to Acadia National Park in Maine for Vacation
Raffle: Speaker Tona McCarthy won the raffle Program: Donna Deos introduced the guest speakers from the Pope Memorial SPCA Heather Faria and Tona McCarthy. Heather told about the 1400 homeless pets they get each year. They also have summer camps they provide and school dogs for reading programs they organize. The SPCA helps relocate dogs from the south to New Hampshire. Tona helps the SPCA with investigations of animals throughout the state. He told the story of the 84 Great Danes that were rescued from a home in Wolfeboro. The dogs are doing fine now and are in a safe place till the trial. He also told the story of the horses in Deering that were relocated and doing fine now. (Correction – Tom Wilson went to visit his Mother for her 92 birthday) Respectfully Submitted, Ken Moulton
