- Courtney from Interact – wasn’t on.
- Ben Kiniry & President Matt attended a meeting with other local Rotary Presidents and President Elects. Most are still on Zoom. Goffstown car show went great. The group wants to work on group projects with other clubs. Lots of good input and feedback.
- Tom & Ceil Wilson update – refer to Tom’s email regarding housing for approx. 6 months; and to Matt’s email about donations. Club passed the hat and raised $665! If you were on Zoom, or are reading this later, you can write checks to Tom Wilson and send them to the Rotary PO Box 1935, Bow, NH 03304. Write Tom Wilson on the back and they will be collected, unopened, and given to Tom.
- Concert update: Concerts and dates are on the website.
- Car Show Update from Gerry – mailers have gone out, 12 pre-registered already! All major sponsors are on board. Letter going out regarding trophy sponsors. It’s $100 per category if you’d like to do it. Committee meeting still coming at some point. Interact will help. Earlyact will do their baked goods table again.
- Gerry mentioned dues again. Please make your payment.
- District Golf Tournament is the day before the car show. PDG Chris is going, Dean will go, anyone else interested? Talk to them please.
- Board of Directors meeting Monday night will either be on Zoom or at the Old Town Hall. President Matt will let people know.
Sergeant at Arms: Logo Fine: PDG Chris told on himself for wearing a former employer’s logo and as fined. Happy Bucks: - Joya started with a happy $12 – her son is graduating today!!!
- Judy did $1 for not having her badge on. She also did $20 for her son Grif who is starting a new job with Pfiser after a life serving non-profits with his degrees in Public Health.
- Mike Griffin for still hiking with his son, Andrew.
- Peter Imse for the high election turn out and that everything went smoothly. Very grateful for all of the help. Happy $5.
- Linda Bliss – Happy $3 for the 3 awards her 16 year old Granddaughter received at school.
- Michelle Olivier – Happy $12 for her daughter graduating from Pembroke Academy Wednesday night.
- Michelle Fortin – Happy $10 that Eric is getting married and all 4 of her kids are in the wedding!
- Dean Cascadden told a very fun story of the 14 years he has been here and how he has ultimately become his father.
- Steve DeStefano – happy for his 38 years running the baseball league and his 48 years being in it.
- Gerry Carrier – his 50th Anniversary this week and that he and his wife are clearly meant to be. (Interesting story of not getting hurt, maimed or killed on their trip.)
- Matt Gatzke – Sad to Happy $10 for the loss of 2 wonderful and inspiring ladies in his life and then now going on to a one year old’s birthday party.
Program: Classification Talk Our very own Mike Gula did a classification talk. He grew up in Derry, NH, graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1990 and went on to Plymouth for a degree in Psychology and a minor in Pre-law. He has spent 22 years working with Charles Schwab & Co. He married his wife in 2004, has 2 kids who are now 14 and 16 (one boy, one girl). He joined Rotary when his neighbor, John McCauley, invited/asked him to. Mike gave us an exercise to do to illustrate his commitment to continued development and being a “work in progress.” You become the people you hang out with so hang out with people who have the characteristics you wish to gain.
