Business and Admin – we have the trees ordered, will be looking for help the day after Thanksgiving.
President Elect Dave Farr and Proposed new member Cantrell will do Fireside chat soon.
Auction – if you haven’t sold tickets get them back to Carol; interact sold a number of tickets; doing well – items continuing to come in; sponsorships a little less than last year; if you are unable to make the asks for the businesses you are assigned – contact Carol or Mike Gula
Cornhole – Nov 17th at Alan’s
Bow Garden Club – fall clean up at Rotary Park (Sat 24th at 8 am)
Foundation Balance - $100k+; sponsorships being tracked and deposits coming in
New Generations Carol – Early Act have about 30 participants, board elected, have projects planned; will be doing potpourri & bird seed wreaths again
Community Service – roadside pick up was successful 45 bags picked up
Dave – MS proposal - Board has put Bow Middle School Makers Space through review; estimate was $10k; walked through space with librarian (library is being used as overflow classroom) and project might be a little smaller; 3D print resources and pod casting tools
Process – announce at Board, Board puts it forward, since request is over $2500 discuss with the club two times; after that we all vote.
Bill – Legacy and Promise talk from Granite State VNA program
Hospice House - was built 34 years ago, has been rehabbed 2 previous times, hasn’t been rehabbed for 10+ years; putting aside money to update their Endowment to keep the Hospice House going (get very little of the cost from Medicaid and Medicare)
Big ask for the club, $10k; this project is a 501c3 with the exception of the capital improvement for the house (our grants can’t be given to 501c3); 10% of people in club are associated with Granite VNA
If anyone wants to tour – Bill can arrange that
Dick Swett shared might consider a district grant
Should we revisit guidelines for grant from Bow (we didn’t give money to food pantry in Concord – Concord Rotary did)
Editor of Stroll Magazine would like to do a spot on the Club
President Tanya closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
