Program:  Club Assembly
Michele Fortin went to podium to thank Ben Kiniry for being the past president.  Michele gave Ben his Past President pin.  Also presented Ben with the gavel/plaque as a memento.
Ben Kiniry gave his closing comments of his year as President:
Ben has been a rotary member for 8 years – having been President.  He commented that we do allot at in a year at Bow Rotary.  Thanked Matt Gatzke for making sure Zoom was always up and running – which in turn has been essential in keeping the membership connected.  Ben recognized that it was a negative in loosing Joya, but there were some positives learned from that experience.  Club was lucky to add three new lady members.  Due to circumstances, during last Rotary year, we had 2 car shows, had our 1st online Scholarship auction, we sold Christmas trees in record time, had the 50 year anniversary celebration, read to 1st graders, and had a strong media presence.
Guest speakers have been of high quality, it was great having the folks from South Africa here to thank us for the donation the Bow Rotary Club gave for their medical equipment.  The club gave money to the disaster in Kentucky, and a large amount to support the Ukrainians in Poland.
Ben thanked the Board for their participation.  He said that the position was respected by all and appreciated the support.  A special Thank You to Gerry Carrier and Matt Gatzke, as they were always there with a supporting answer when he asked for help.  Ben’s suggestion is to split the Presidents responsibilities among the President, and the upcoming leadership, to make the position manageable as, there is always a reluctancy due to how much work is involved.
Michelle Fortin then thanked Jeannie Richards for bringing her into the club.  She is hopeful that Harry Judd will re-join the club again, and that working with the Boys Scouts could be a future project.  Michelle thanked Ben for his service and closed the meeting.
