Announcements:
  • 4 Way Speech Contest March 31st – event begins at 6:30. To help with setup, arrive at 5:30.
  • Phil Nadeau has made some logistics changes for the corn hole contest – so his club can win.
  • Interact - game night proposed with Early Act and our club for May 8th.
  • Car show tee shirts – see Gerry for signup.  $16 each.
  • Road side pickup - Ben scheduled for April 18 at 8 am at the Rt 3A park and ride.

Birthdays: Tanya celebrated her 45 birthday and had a great year.

Happy Bucks:
  • Chris Parkinson mentioned good registration from our club for the District Conference.
  • Bow Club is a Platinum sponsor for the conference $ 1,000 donation.
  • Bill and his wife Kathlene went to the Hooksett club for their St. Patrick’s Day supper party.
  • Mike Gula went skiing with his wife to Mont Tremblant for their anniversary honeymoon.  Mike also needs a sub for the golf league at Beaver Meadow CC
  • Tom Ives went to Cuba on a bone fishing trip and contracted food poisoning.  There was no medical support in the remote location they were staying in Cuba and came home where he spent a week in the hospital ICU recovering.  He lost 28 pounds in 4 days.
  • Durwood got a get-well card from Dr. C but didn’t know who it was until he figured it out.
  • Ben Kiniry was late as greeter but has been fixing up a camp/house and happy it’s going well.
  • Linda Bliss had a great time in Florida and her youngest son is visiting her this week.
  • Brad Abel took a cruise with 20 foot swells but still had a good time.
  • Dave Farr new boss told him the dress code is collared shirts daily.  He has a potential client meeting with a company that sells robotic dogs.  He and Tanya will be representing the Bow Club at PETS.

Community ServiceDave Farr - Concert Series - update for 5 concerts this year. 
Mr. Aaron and Freeze brothers are locked in.
Club Service:  Melissa Howard save the date June 11th.
New GenerationsRyan Anastasi that the interact club is helping at White Rock after school.
Interact is doing School service day April 22.  Waypoint sleep out(in) next Friday.
Christmas trees: – Gerry Carrier looking for possible new provider of trees
 
FoundationBen Kiniry - Nigeria global grant that the Bow club donated $5,000.00 and raised over $10,000.00.  Ten African women were trained by Child Voice and made 1,200 reusable feminine hygiene pads.  Looking to do 3 year plan with $20,000.00
Dick Swett – Malawian parliament will vote on March 27th to approve grant and fund half.
Camperships - Applications need to be reviewed and our decisions on the camperships communicated to the families by next Friday.
Other:
Brad Abel has 3 tickets to a charity Notre Dame football game in April if anyone knows of someone that could use them.  Perhaps a student that is applying there.
Mike Gula: Scholarship application deadline April 7th
Vanessa will advertise the scholarships. 
New Member Search & Guest invite:
President Dick passed out sheets for members to list potential friends/neighbors to invite to an upcoming club meeting.
Matt Gatzke has written a customizable cover letter to tell what we do for members to use for their invites.
 
President Dick closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over and
Peter Imse is the Greeter next week.
