Announcements:
  • “Thank You” card from Matthew Driscoll for $1,000.00 scholarship-attending RPI
  • “Thank You” card from Andrew Driscoll for scholarship award.
  • Concert Series – Eric Anderson announced that on Sunday, at 6 pm, the concert series starts at the band stand – if anyone has signage-please place them out.
  • Auction committee has met – 15 folks on the committee, Ben Kiniry and Matt Dodge are Co-Chairs. Committee has decided to repeat the format from last year – which was the online version. Also, that the Raffle ticket component will not be part of this year’s auction. Dean Cascadden suggested that “Experience Opportunities” would be well received as auction ideas. 
Sergeant at Arms:  Bryant Stevener 
Chris Parkinson - had a birthday, while on a trip to Switzerland and Italy and just returned.  Family is good- married for 48 years.  On Birthday night, he got Covid.  Then his wife Janine got Covid.  Also walked 460 steps of the Duomo in Florence – his knee seized up that night.  He has also developed a rotator cuff issue.  Bottom line is turning 70 sucks.  Also brought back a banner from a make up meeting at the Chatel-St-Danis club.
Fines: 
  • Late buck fines from Dave Gazaway and Jerry Kingwill.
Happy Bucks:
  • Tamar Roberts – Changed work status to being Retired, however she has stayed on as an employee to do 30 hours a week until Dec 31st.
  • Mike Griffin and wife Brenda went to see James Taylor at Meadow Books
  • Dick Bean - Got married in ’72, renewed his vows with wife Andrea, in company of friends and family in Burlington VT, with same pastor that married them 50 years ago.
  • Judy Goodnow – going to Alaska for 2 weeks – Denali area
  • Dean Cascadden - No Badge – Leaving early – also have many new folks on Administration Team, as he is getting ready to retire.
  • John Ruggles - Happy $5 for 51st wedding anniversary 
  • Dave Gazaway – Happy $5 for partially getting woods on fire at his Fireworks display, with no major damage.
  • Ben Kiniry – Vacation to Myrtle Beach, also that he cleaned his boat to take son tubing on Lake Sunapee-had engine challenges.
 
Program:
Mike Gula introduced Lt. Matt Pratte – 12 years’ service at Bow PD.  Lt. Pratte’s hobby includes travelling around country to roller coaster parks.  He became a police officer because his Sports Coach was a Police officer when he was young.  He is a UNH grad - Moved from Manchester, now lives in Bow.
Nine years ago, he was offered the opportunity to start the Canine Program at the Bow PD with Roxy so he agreed. NH State Police screen all potential dogs in NH for new service dog positions.  They failed the 1st dog that was due to go to Bow PD but Roxy passed with flying colors.
When Lt. Pratte received Roxy, she had no training.c Roxy is now trained in Marijuana, Cocaine, Meth and Heroin detection.  He has had her at his side for 9 yrs.  She is schedule to retire at 10 yrs. of service.
Roxy has never bitten anyone but would if given the command by Lt. Pratte.  Roxy will become Lt Pratte’s personal pet after retirement.  In August of this year, officer LeBlanc will take responsibility of training Bow PD’s new dog.
After his talk, Lt. Pratte brought Roxy into the meeting room to meet the club members.  She came from South Carolina and weighs 55 lbs.
