President Judy announced that there will be no meetings on 11/10/17 (this Friday) and 11/24/17. There will also be no meeting on 12/22/17, however Deb Borbeau will be putting together holiday baskets and could use some help. - District Expo
Chris Parkinson noted that the Expo will be held on 11/14/17. Please see him if you would like to attend. - Board meetings
President Judy announced that there will be board meetings on 11/6/17 and 12/4/17. They will be held in the lower level of the Library. All are welcome to attend. - Annual Auction Report
Auction chairs Matt Gatzke and Noreen Christensen reported that the final tally has not been determined, however it is in the neighborhood of $23,000. 101 people purchased tickets. There were 24 first time attendees. Michele Fortin reported that 714 raffle tickets were sold. Members gave them a standing O. - Bob Couch let everyone know that his uncle, Frank Jillson passed away. He also congratulated everyone for a successful auction.
- Paul Harris pins
Alan Kanegsberg, Rotary Foundation Chair, asked that anyone that has an original Paul Harris pin to please bring it in for re-use.
Sergeant at Arms Time Sgt. Ben Kiniry collected the normal fines for missed badges, pins, late arrival, logos, etc. Happy Bucks - Ben Kiniry was happy for Bob Couch assisting him with auction tasks all the way from Canada.
- Matt Gatzke had a happy $7.00 for everyone who helped with the auction planning and execution.
- Karen Wadsworth had a $2 happy. She was honored to wear Gerry Carrier’s fathers Navy uniform.
- Dean Cascadden – all of the BHS teams in the playoffs.
Raffle Time Skip Poole pulled the joker. Program Speaker: Bow High School Principal Brian McConnell Dean Cascadden introduced the speaker, Principal Brian McConnell. Brian is the new principal at the high school. He has been principal for 5 months and he declared that BHS is one of the best high schools in the state. BHS is evolving. They have introduced flex time, individualizing and personalizing the student experience, longer class times, on-line and hybrid course, working with technology, and a whole host of other ways to best educate our students President Judy hit the bell at 8:30 a.m. Respectfully Submitted, Dave Stack
