Announcements:
Judy G. reported that the following events will take place:
1). Bow Heritage Comm. is holding their annual Heritage Day at the Old Town Hall and at The Bow Bog Meeting House. Lunch will be served by the Bow Men’s Club at the Old Town Hall it runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
2). On Oct 2 the SPCA is holding their "Walk for the Animals" more info to come
3). Bow Pioneers Snowmobile Club will be selling Mums (Flowers) across from the fire station (gazebo) this weekend.
4). Bow Men’s Club road side clean-up this weekend and the Bow Rotary’s clean-up soon.
5). Oct 4 the Bow Mills United Methodist Church is starting their pumpkin sale
6). Oct 15 the Bow Men’s Club is having their Lobster Fest
Ken M. announced that Hopkinton Rotary was celebrating with a cookout on Oct. 1st. Both Bow and Concord helped start the club and are invited to attend.
Chris P. invited all Rotarians to the event in Nashua to celebrate rotary on Nov 10th.
Birthdays:
Rob W. had a busy year. Spent the birthday down in Virginia with his wife and old friends.

1). Jeannie G. was on TV but was given a pass because she’s just a great person.
2). Newest member Matt D's. picture was in the Bow Times.

Happy Bucks:
1). Ben K. was ten dollars happy for not having to appear in court (as a lawyer to a plaintiff)
2). Chuck R. is happy the NY Giants started the year 1-0 (there’s one in every crowd)
3). Judy G. and her husband Mike celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary. They were also saddened by the passing of her father-law.
4) Bill M. spoke on the ending of 100 night of remembrance that takes place at the veteran’s cemetery in Boscawen for our fallen soldiers. ‘Taps’ are played each night for one hundred nights.
5). Karen W. thanked all those involved that worked and voted at Tues primary election.
6). Christopher N. confirmed that it’s a baby boy that was born last Fri at 5:09.
Raffle:
Eric A. was picked to try his luck but the joker didn’t show up.
Program:
Today was Club Assembly. Allen K. spoke about the Rotary Foundation. What it is and what its purpose is. The foundation has raised over two billion dollars, at an average of 250 to 300 million a year. Discussion about the Paul Harris Award then ensued; President Gail hopes to get the club to 100% participation at $26.50 each.
Jeannine G. spoke on the membership comm. along with sunshine comm. Please let us (Linda L.) know if you know of any member that is ill or in need support. Scholarship comm. is getting ready to start up.
Jerry K. said that road side clean-up is set along with the Christmas tree sales starting on Nov. 26 and the garden club annual clean-up at the park beside the fire station. The annual tree lighting will be on the 27th of Nov. and the Rotary club will be holding activities along with the Bow Parks and Rec. as there is no Winterfest this year. The auction is well under way with raffle tickets being handed out. Also forms for donations are available. The auction is Nov. 5th from 6 to 9 pm.
President Gail called the meeting to an end at 8:20.
