• Jerry Kingwill announced roadside pickup will be October 19. Eight Rotarians have signed up to help, six more would be a full contingent. President Gerry mentioned that will also be Hazardous Waste Day at the Community Center.
• Vanessa Palange reported the Octoberfest event went well and they had a lot of great interactions.
• President Gerry said October is Foundation Month with Polio Plus donations being matched 2 to one by Bill Gates.
• Tanya Frost reported on the District Golf Tournament was a great deal of fun with the A Team winning out over the B Team.
• Matt Dodge gave an update on the upcoming auction and encouraged every one to get their items in. Raffle tickets were also being passed out at the meeting. President Gerry mentioned the Henniker “Messenger” newspaper is willing to run an auction ad.

• Bill Ames announced quarterly breakfast payments are now due.

• Mike Griffin hiked Baldface Mt. with his son. There was lots of scrambling and he found out after the fact the hike is rated in the top 25 most terrifying trails.
• Dean Cascadden lost a bet on the tournament golf match. He said everything was going great at the beginning until the wheels fell off.
• Linda Bliss was appreciative of the flowers brought in by Marcy Kelley, and she reported her son and daughter in law were okay in North Carolina after Hurricane Helene.
• Durwood Sargent was at the Fryeburg Fair.
• Mike Ardt and his wife were in California on his wife’s cousin’s organic farm.
• Vanessa Palange graduated from a program for public information officers.
• Karen Wadsworth’s son is visiting.
• Dick Swett has a new roof and is looking forward to a cozy winter. His daughter treated him and Katrina to a concert at the Nashua Preforming Arts Center in support of the Israeli hostages.
• Steve DeStefano mentioned this was the year of his 50^th high school graduation.
• David Farr was proud his son scored high grades in a Spanish course, and his daughter is going through the college search process.
• David Gazaway mentioned he won a prize at a car show in Burlington, Vermont. His next car show is in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

President Gerry closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
