Today’s meeting is a club assembly
Board meeting (March 17th) report
Dick Swett may contribute a speaker system to the club to make it easier for all to hear the proceedings
Bow Rotary swag (hats and shirts) is in process and there may be a store for club members to purchase items with a $20 credit for each member
A Rotary table banner is on order to be used at events
The Rotary 4-Way test program is on March 19th
The elementary school reading program is on May 9th
The cornhole challenge from the Concord clubs may happen at the Bow Rotary car show on May 17th.

Rob Werner and Dick Swett skied at Cannon Mountain this past Wednesday, great snow and a sunny day (although it was 2 degrees below zero at the summit)

Mike Gula reports that he saw a snowshoe hare while snowmobiling
Durwood Sargent reports that his son took family to Spain – lots of siestas
Ben Kiniry is happy that snowmobiling has been so phenomenal
Tom Ives went to Washington State for flyfishing…spent time in the town of Forks (home of the Twilight series) but did not report any vampire or werewolf sightings.
Karen Wadsworth is happy because she cancelled her home phone number and now has a private cell phone number.
Mike Griffin reports that he had a very bad case of the flu but is feeling better now.
Program: Club Assembly
Secretary report: January attendance was 85.4 percent, and club membership is currently 64 members
Treasurers report: Current balances are $14, 980 in the club account and $64,265 in the foundation account. Note that $19,000 in scholarship funds are obligated.
The donation from Sarah Tisdale ($19,000) to support the Bow Rotary scholarship program is very helpful to the long-term operation of the program. There are important considerations in terms of the management of the funds to gain the most benefit, including what kind of financial vehicles would be used. In addition, more information is needed from the donor in terms of her intentions as how the funds would be disbursed and under what schedule. Club leaders are in touch with Sarah Tisdale to determine how she would like the funds to be disbursed and how her donation would be publicly acknowledged.
Judy Goodnow reported on the Bow map project, indicating that town forests would be added as well as four new streets. Several Bow organizations have offered to support the project with financial contributions, including the Bow Athletic Club, the Bow Pioneers, and Chuck Douglas. The map template is expected to be finished at the end of March.
President Gerry closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
