Announcements:
Dave Stack announced that the concert series is off to a great start (a strong 50/50 raffle), however, he indicated that some volunteers may forgotten to show up (Betsey fessed up) and thanked our President, Dave Scanlan for helping out. Next Sunday we welcome “Bow Junction” and Rob Werner will be the MC.
Gale Kenison made a very strong statement in regards to the status of the Auction when she announced boldly that “the auction is coming”.
Ken Moulton has guaranteed a trophy at this years Golf Tournament, to which Chris Parkinson responded that perhaps some prayer may be in good order.
Dave Scanlan reported the club received a thank you from Pure Water for the World for $250.00 donation.

Happy Bucks:
Dean Cascadden is happy to be officiating a Harry Potter themed wedding ceremony (Dean’s 10th). Dean also reported that his son, Ian, is moving to Vancouver (the one in Canada, eh!) Last, but not least, Dean is heading to Nova Scotia on vacation.
Jerry Kingwill reported the birth of a grandchild and that his brother finished a bike trek across the continent of Africa in 26 days as part of a group effort, of which many did not complete.
Ken Moulton is happy that his Grandson is visiting as part of celebrating his 3rdbirthday (the grandson’s not Ken’s).
Karen Wadsworth was very happy to report her sister is doing well after suffering a pulmonary embolism, which is great news indeed.
Matt Gatzke attended a concert at the famous “Woodstock” location in New York. There was discussion about the original Woodstock fans and the liberating of furniture from porches in the area.
Chris Parkinson was very pleased to announce having being happily married for 45 years, more or less.
Donna Deos enjoyed some time up at Wells Beach and is looking forward to picking up her daughter, Starsea (spelling?), in Boston and spending some quality time together over the weekend.
Judy Goodnow informed our members that the League of New Hampshire Craftsman Fair runs from August 3rd-11that the Mount Sunapee Resort.
Raffle Winner: This author, Ben Kiniry, won the raffle! However, he failed to draw the Joker.
Program: Guest Speaker Dean Cascadden introduced the guest speaker, Abby Couhie.
Abby is the social worker to the Bow School system. Her primary role is case management for families in need.
Abby communicates with students and their parents on any number of life issues and places parents and/or students in contact with potential resources to best assist them. Abby helps the students deals with a significant number of issues such as homelessness, food insecurity, school supplies, medical, clothing, and providing money for school trips/activities, fuel, electricity etcetera. Runs groups on social skills and stress management, conducts safety/risk assessments and is even involved in court actions.
In order to fulfill this role, she works with a daunting number of agencies, people and resources to assist Bow Students (and their families) having these various types of needs arise in their lives and it was clear to this author that she is a Jack of all Trades.
