Dean Cascadden made another attempt to recruit speakers for the Memorial School career day (March 17).
Happy or Something:
Jeff Kipperman celebrated the visit by Erle Pierce who had called to volunteer to substitute for Jeff as Greeter for the day. "Great to have him back," Jeff said.
Erle then offered up $10 "to be back in New Hampshire." He is returning to lobbying and looking for a new home. He offered to sell anyone his home and in Florida that comes with a manatee and a golf course.
Peter Imse was the first to celebrate the first meeting of Bow's first Early Act club. Ten great kids! Great leaders (Jeannie Richards and Betsy Patton)!
Gale added $20 to the Early Act celebration. "The kids were excited!" and so was Gale because this was one of her goals for the year.
John Ruggles was glad that his wife's hip operation had gone well.
Nate Sanel dropped a $20 to celebrate his daughter's recovery after an allergic reaction sent her to the hospital.
Tamar Roberts marked the first club meeting she's been able to attend this year and her pleasure seeing both Erle and Tom Wilson.
Matt Dodge, looking tanned, said he'd had a great ski trip to Vail to visit his brother who's on the ski patrol there.
Gerry said something about still being on Pacific Standard time.
Dean invited everyone to the dedication of the Memorial School's "Pinkham Gymnasium," named for a long-time teacher and coach.
Ben Kiniry had a great time with his family on snow machines in the North Country.
Raffle: Rick Minard had the winning ticket but missed the joker.
Speaker: Marsha Haines of the Concord chapter of the American Red Cross explained the need for blood donations here and across the world and urged everyone to donate if they can.
Bell: Gale got us out on time, again!
