Ben Kiniry: He and Mike Wedding went to a wedding recently, they sat at the same table and danced the night away!
Chris Parkinson: Last week was his family week at the lake. Had a lot of family there and beautiful weather.
Dave Carroll: Exchange student has arrived! They went to a great Red Sox game. They are still looking for another host for the student.
Durwood Sargent: Both kids made it to college. Empty nest now. Happy for them!
Matt Gatzke: He is going to the Poconos to see his brother this weekend.
Mike Gula: He loved the wedding at Lake View Inn in Wolfeboro hanging out with Ben. They and their wives tore up the dance floor! Also, his daughter moved into her freshman year of college on Wednesday, she is off to a great start.
Gerry Carrier: It was cold this morning! He wants warmer mornings.
Linda Bliss: Her granddaughter is loving college!
Dick Swett: He and his wife and friends went to see the Doobie Brothers, they had a great time. Everyone was up at the Bank of NH Pavillion having fun. Also he is about to go on vacation starting tomorrow, he will be absent next week. Tanya will lead the meeting, she will have her fireside chat with Brad and then welcome him to the club on Friday!

Gerry Carrier: The sprinkler system has been adjusted so it won’t hit the stone marker.

Mike Ard: Successful Concert Series this year.
Bill Ames-Sec Rpt: Attendance: July attendance was 81.1%. Membership: The Club has 64 members, 61 active members (45 Bow 16 HARC) and three Honorary members.
Tamar-Treas Rpt: Club account: $18,234.28 as of July 31st. Then she paid dues on August 1st, now we only have about $13,000 in the bank after that. Foundation account: $80, 899.43 as of July, $33,593 is available, the rest is committed to previous commitments/liabilities.
Community Service: Rob was absent.
Club Vocational: Vanessa does not have any updates as of now.
Club Admin: Carol is absent.
International: Chris said they have 28 people going to Honduras as of now. His Vice Chair Jill is knocking it out of the park. Now they continue to keep fundraising. They plan to have their packing party in January, so they will need suitcases by then. Ben said there were 10 who graduated from Child Voice and there will be a guest speaker talking about it on 9/5.
New Generations/Interact: The first Interact meeting of the school year is Tuesday 9/2.
Christmas Trees: We have communicated with the Christmas Tree farm. We are on the list and the order has been placed. We have not received an invoice yet. Mike Griffin is the chair but he was absent today, Dave Farr spoke to give the update to the club today.
Auction-Mike Gula: Everything is moving smoothly. Friends and Sponsors letter went out on 8/15. Keep in mind now for local businesses you visit to consider asking for items or experiences to be donated by November 1st. Carol is in the Grand Tetons on vacation. November 5th - 8th are the dates of the Auction.
Concert Wrap Up: Mike Ard said they will have a wrap up meeting after the club meeting today. Dave Farr spoke up and said 21 Rotarians volunteered at the concerts. Durwood volunteered 5 times, thank you!
Earlyact: Peter Imse said no updates yet.
Matt Gatzke: Robbie Grady contacted Matt and Matt passed along some names in the club, the Henniker Club is trying to start their own foundation.
School Support: Katie said no updates as of now.
Membership: Matt Gatzke said they are getting together for a committee meeting in September. They will research what events we could plan.
Dave Farr: new members should get together to see if they could work on a project together.
Gerry Carrier: He suggested we create a list of all of the projects we have accomplished so we can display our accomplishments.
Dick Swett: Plymouth Rotary Club has a beautiful amphitheater there by the river. He also saw a beautiful fountain in Italy. He would love to have a fountain in the town pond as a nice visual for the town. He asked the club for input on the idea or other ideas.
Gerry Carrier suggested we help maintain some trails around town, maybe collaborate with Bow Open Spaces or the Pioneer Club.
Peter Imse said the boat launch at Turee Pond has become messy. He would love to work on improving that area!
Chris Parkinson suggested planting some trees to provide more shade near the town gazebo.
Barb Griffin wondered if we could turn the marquee by the gazebo into a hard structure that has Rotary’s name and emblem at the top.
Bob Couch said the gazebo was built by both Rotary and the Men’s Club.
Matt Gatzke suggested we could plan a dinner for seniors or veterans to help foster community.
Dave Farr asked if we could build a community vegetable garden for our town. He also wondered if we could help fundraise for a new community center.
Mike Gula said past scholarship grant winner Liam would like to show his 15 minute film at the OTH at one meeting. He could be the program for the meeting. He will coordinate with Barb.
President Dick shared his appreciation for everyone’s ideas today and closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
