Barbara started her new assignment as SAA by recognizing Past SAA Dave Farr for last year efforts and success.

Barb introduced a new fine – Late Membership dues payment = $5 – She then paid herself the fine as she was late in payment.

Bill Ames: $20 for time spent in Wisconsin with family, adopted grandson of 12 years old is taller than Bill!

Dick Sweat: $2 for scooting, $5 for late dues, thanks to all members for their support when he was President.

PDG Donna Deos: Showed off her “Huge” PDG pin – thanked everyone for the support during her District Governor term last year.

Matt Gatzke - $4 – Matt agreed that Barb has a good sense of humor.  He also announced a golf Tournament for the Henniker Club.  Mat also vacationed in Bartlett with family, had a great view of Mt Washington.  Matt then presented Tom Ives with a framed picture of the Lions at the Library Entrance.  Tom explained that the lions came from Pittsburgh, NH and were bronze, that he painted white so that no one would be tempted to steal them for the metal.

Chase Hayman: $5 – fine for being last one in door at meeting, is busy supporting wife running for public office – and most thankful for mattress covers as his child baby used it to capture an upheaval moment.

Tom Ives: $5 for his annual canoe trip on the Allagash – says he is getting older, so every trip is special.  May be their last.

Stacey McDowell: Celebrating a new grandchild and mentioned something about a tornado at a wedding!! 

David Gazaway: $5 for celebrating his 25^th Wedding Anniversary in the Florida Keys.  David also mentioned that 2 nights before leaving to come home, he used a small amount of accelerant to get the campfire going and has the burns on his arm to prove it.

Linda Bliss:  Sorry she was not up to attending in person today and the fine was $ that she was not able to attend and help Joya in Kitchen Duty

Carol Niegisch introduced Teresa Gladstone:

Teresa began her venture as a volunteer serving food on Storrs Street in 2013.  As she worked with people in need, she wondered where they slept at night.

In 2020, she semi-retired and became an assistant at Homeless Coalition. She realized that there was no single means to provide shelter for people with challenges. After more interactions with the homeless and supporting agencies, she concluded that she needed to get involved.

Teresa began working with some of the people struggling to get food and housing and shared a few stories with the Club.  She spoke about needing a place to learn a trade or talent that would allow them to earn money and support themselves.  Teresa mentioned that Merrimack County now has about 400 homeless people. 

Teresa continued to describe her proposals to construct a small community of 325 square foot homes with a community building that would provide space for teaching, assisting and supporting those in need.  Finding a proper site is ongoing.  More information can be found at www.aplaceforeveryone.org
