$1 Chris Parkinson. Crappy buck because he feels crappy. He has pneumonia.

$2 Mike Griffin. raked all of his yard and then put snowblower away. Can thank him for last weekend’s storm. Son Andrew proposed to girlfriend Hannah and she said yes.

$5 Rob Warner. Health oddysee. He was in Concord Hospital for eight days. Came back from Colorado got a “scratchiness.” All liquids of all sorts left his body. Went to internal medicine then the ER. When checking kidney function, the doctor could only find one. Rob didn’t know he only had one kidney. Had follow up yesterday and everything has returned to normal. Dick Swett commented that it was a good thing never offered a kidney for a transplant

Dave Farr (I didn’t catch the dollar amount.) Big geek convention was great. Hung out with game designers and got a figure from the game that hasn’t been released yet. Got a couple bucks for helping out with demo and bought some toys.

Bill Ames secretary’s report: 89.11 percent attendance in February. 53 members ytd with a 90.91 attendance. We are in second place. Keene Elm Street is first. Bill thinks we might be better with makeups. $607 outstanding dues.

 

Tamar Roberts treasurer’s report $14,562 in cash. Foundation $50,675 in cash. $6,000 allocated for grants and camperships. $20,000 for scholarships.

 

Steve DeStefano. One of the Interact advisor’s mother’s died. Will send flowers. Sleepout tonight. Eggs go out tomorrow morning. 

 

Dick Swett putting together report for Malawi district grant. Now have sign, purchased 4 acres of land and are growing corn. 

 

Club administration: 4 way speech contest. We will try to do better with the school calendar next year.

 

Club services: 1st-grade reading books on May 10. Awards and recognition night. Rob Warner sent an email out to the group. Most likely in June.

 

Community service: Gerry Carrier sent out note about volunteering. Looking for volunteers two weeks before show to put signs out in other areas of the state. Will need another crew to do in town the week of. David Gazaway working on major sponsors.
Gerry working on trophies. Took a count of people who would like T-shirts. Judy Goodnow and Bryant Stevener will work with Tynan for food. Flannagans may help us out this year. School senate is interested in having a raffle. Earlyact also will be there again this year selling baked goods. Dean Casscaden will help with music. Also going to see if the same student that sang last year can come back.

 

Gerry Carrier next Thursday heading to Dunbarton to the selectmen's meeting to introduce us as a club. Goffstown had been covering Dunbarton but we asked since the students come here. We are going to officially have Dunbarton area in this club. Put poster in the Schoolhouse Cafe. Bow Auto parts family lives in Dunbarton. 

 

Community service: Concert series crew is moving along. Has a nice variety of performers.
Bob Couch will put them in calendar and homepage once they know who is playing which date.

 

Community service: roadside pickup; mark calendars and make it if you can.

 

Gerry Carrier Is beginning to do assignments for next year. Let him know if you have favorites or assignments you absolutely don’t want.

 

Ben Kinery global grant update. create jobs for young girls in Uganda to become seamstress. Manufacturing feminine hygiene pad that lasts up to 5 years. Don’t have a trash truck quite a mess from discarded feminine hygiene pads. MOU is down to being detailed out because of new questions from new club. Better detailed project with new club. Global grant projects need to be sustainable and Ben feels like it will be. Feeling positive. Thinks grant might be sent to Rotary International in the next three weeks. Thinks project could be up and running in a year.

 

Tanya Frost asked about new member initiative. Matt Dodge thanked her for the reminder. New members. New, new members. Matt put it on his to-do list to coordinate something.

 

Linda Bliss reminded everyone if you know if someone is ill let us know to get cards together. Money in the budget for flowers and cards.

 

Ben Kinery asked about after-hours activities. Gerry Carrier said membership committee has been pretty limited. One of the things that came out of Matt’s survey is club members would like social time outside of meetings. Haven’t gone far with that idea. Create committee to propose activities to get involved in. Going to ask for help at things like awards night to help take some tasks off the secretary. Mike Gula reminded everyone about taking a nice group photo, which will probably happen at the pavilion.
