Announcements:
  • Brad’s application has been approved
  • Letter of Thanks from Freeze Brothers
  • Letter: Dr. Anchew – looking to speak further about the global grant
  • Brunch for Backpacks Info – Hooksett Club
  • Concert last evening – Gaggle of Children! $75: 50/50   $96 Donations.  Looking to do a survey on the Bow Page to see what the community is looking for in the future
  • Monday: Director Zoom call.  Hooksett has required number members now to become their own club. Gerry Carrier & Peter Imse will take the lead in guiding Hooksett to independence.
  • Received a Pickleball Tournament notice: Sept 6,7th, held by Rotary Club of Rutland, VT, $30/per player.  It would be great to put a team together. Ken Moulton charged with seeing if we can get a team together.
  • Matt Gatzke sent a get well card to Eric Anderson.  Eric is doing better.  No broken bones, sounds great and is expecting to fully recover.
  • Rob Werner - Supporting food pantry at Christ the King Church.  Asking our club to reconsider participating in a donation as Bow families benefit from the pantry too.  Asked to be placed on the upcoming Board Agenda.

  • Matt Gatzke: Did a make up at an Indiana Club, done at a ball park, was able to take nice pictures from above.  Happy $5
  • Tanya Frost: Happy buck for seeing Dean Cascadden at golf event.
  • Dean Cascadden: Raised some money at a golf tournament, attended by a lot of wonderful people 
  • Chris Parkinson: $5 This has been family week at the lake
  • Tom Ives: Enjoyed last night, has retired!  Son to spin off business in Loudon, happy $50
  • Ben Kiniry: $10 Cyclist friend, battling cancer, went on a ride in Gunstock in honor of their friend, 14 mile mountain bike ride.
  • Linda Bliss: Went to VT, had a blast
  • Mike Ard: $5 Thank you to all volunteers, great concert series, another great season
  • Lucy ?: Brazil Rotary exchange student arrived yesterday, going to a baseball game in Boston, he will be trying out for a soccer team.  In Nashua teaching archery, huge tree fell across the St, thankfully it only hit part of a car, because it is a very busy street.  Feeling grateful no one got hurt.
  • Gerry Carrier: Grateful to be a member, happy no longer president
  • Bill Ames: 117 Anniversary of Sunset League Baseball
  • Dave Farr: $20, 20th wedding anniversary, went to Boston, splurged on dinner and comedy show
  • President Dick: Happy buck for his speaker
 
Program: President Dick introduced Katrina Sweat, someone he knows quite well.
Spirit of Community, influence for good, the spirit of this club touches her and feels the club is making a remarkable difference
Talking about religious Freedom: Very active and engaged in human rights. 
Human right is so fundamental, protecting that freedom religion, moral freedom for all people
 
President Dick closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
