  • Bill Ames was recognized for his volunteer efforts at the Concord Regional VNA.
  • Matt Gatzke provided an update on the recent Area 5 Presidents Meeting.  The Global District Grant for Covid Relief was approved.  This will lead to our donation to the Friendly Kitchen.
  • The Club has purchased a Chromebook and a 2 year insurance plan for a family in Bow to help them have online access to Riverbend.  Three kids living with their grandmother.  Gerry Carrier delivered the Chromebook this week.
  • Dick Swett announced that Interact conducted their first meeting this past week.  They have initiatives scheduled for each month during the year.  The upcoming one is their road side pick up toward the end of September, which will be socially distanced.
Sergeant at Arms: Joya Dennehy

Birthday: Karen Wadsworth.  Karen is making a $75 donation to the Foundation. She is very grateful to all of us in the Club and she looks forward to our weekly meetings!

Happy Bucks:
  • Gerry Carrier was happy about the lake time with his family this past Labor Day weekend.
  • Matt Gatzke.  Happy $2.  One is for Peter Imse and his committee for supporting the recent election in Bow.  Second is for Dave Scanlon who covered as the President at last week’s club meeting.
  • Tamar Roberts.  Happy $2.  One is that she thanked those who covered for her volunteer shift at the recent election.  Two is that she recognized Bryant Stevener’s recent 80th birthday.  She used to play softball with her years ago.
  • Peter Imse.  Happy $10.  He thanked all the volunteers at the recent elections.  A good amount of the volunteers were Rotarians.
  • Chris Parkinson.  Happy $5.  First buck was a sad one.  David Cook, GSE Leader in Australia, was recently diagnosed with cancer.  Second buck was happy.  He recently had his family together at his lake house, and his grandchild just turned a teenager, so Chris is feeling a bit older now!
  • Bob Couch.  His grandchild turned 3 recently.
  • Jon Ruggles.  Happy $5.  He appreciated Bob Couch coordinating the guest speaker for this club meeting.
