Announcements:
Matt Gatzke announced that we will be distributing masks in the community. This will take place on Oct. 6th at 2:00 PM at the at Firehouse on Fisherville Rd. in Concord.
Fall Roadside Pickup. Matt asked the Greener Bow committee to investigate options for a Roadside Pickup, and report back to the club.
Elementary School Read In. Rick Minard connected with the Bow Elementary School in regards to having 1st graders complete forms to generate the books. We should offer the books to the 2nd graders as this never occurred this past spring due to Covid 19.
Judy met with Jack Joyce, who can do plastering for the Bow Old Town Hall. We are moving forward for using his services in November. Judy will provide a full presentation on this topic at our next meeting.
50th Anniversary of Bow Rotary. Matt informed us that a large banner is being designed to recognize our anniversary and “Rotary pride”. He also announced drafting a sign that would have 50th logo on it, and Matt requests that we post these small signs on our property. May post them at the Library and at White Rock campus.
Matt Dodge updated us on the Vision for our club, which is something we conduct every 5 years. The Vision has been drafted by the committee and the Board. The next step is to announce the Vision to our club in the upcoming weeks to share this information and to solicit feedback.
Auction. Judy Goodnow. No major announcements. They are working with NH Mail and Print to print promotional material. Sponsor letters should be going out soon. Working on Major Donor Letter, and Past Donor Letter.
Matt announced that we have policies regarding political speakers at our club. Ben Kiniry drafted a document that was reviewed and approved by the Board, and this will be posted on our website.
Matt announced that the District Governor will be joining us at our next Club Meeting, October 2nd.
Donna Deos, Membership Chair. There is a District Membership Webinar on Thursday, October 1st at 7:30pm. It will be on Zoom and Donna or Matt G will be happy to send you the meeting link/info. Anyone is welcome to attend. The more the merrier! Details are below to register:

Marty Helman & Herb Klotz will share proven approaches to grow your Rotary club including attracting members in the current COVID-19 environment and how to avoid potential obstacles. They will also present ideas on new, innovative clubs that are happening in Rotary districts throughout the Northeast United States

Happy Bucks:
Betsy Patten. Happy $10. She heard from Havenwood Heritage Heights. She was accepted there recently, and is planning to transition there in 3 months.
Mike Gula. Happy $15. Yesterday his son and his friend are on the Bow HS Fishing Team, and they caught 8 fish (bass). They move onto the State Championship next!
Peter Imse. Baby sitter had a positive Covid 19 result. Is a Happy $5 because she and her family are ok now and are doing well.
Linda Bliss. She can help with Betsy with her packing and moving.
Mike Griffin. He and his wife Brenda celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary. He also made a $100 donation to the Rotary International, which is his annual tradition.
Program: Today was Club Assembly
Matt Gatzke conducted a survey to our meeting via Zoom. It consisted of four questions, geared to impact of Covid 19 to our club. Asked if people would meet in person versus continuing to meet via Zoom. He also asked about activities that we would be willing to participate in going forward.
Betsy Patten. Secretary’s Report. July: 86% attendance in that month. A decent result! In August, 76%. 1st two weeks in September is 81%. Only 3 members have not paid their dues yet.
Paul Mercier, Treasurer’s Report. Club has approximately $16,000 in the account. The Foundation has $32,800. $10,000 is restricted toward scholarships. $22,000 available. We recently purchased a Chomebook laptop. We are also participating in Rotary Global Grant. NH Foodbank, going to Friends of Forgotten Children, and Friendly Kitchen.
Joya Dennehy. Sargent At Arms Report. Invoices were sent to individuals for Happy Bucks. Please be on the lookout for these. This is how we collect funds in the Zoom environment.

Tom Ives, Vocational Service. Dean Cascadden filled in for Tom. March is the month for Career Day at the High School. If this occurs, he foresees this will be virtual. Dean also announced that Interact Club is doing a lot of activities this Fall.
Matt Dodge, International Service. No major announcements. Chris Parkinson announced that we raised $5,800 through the golf tournament recently. Amigos de Honduras. No international trip this year due to Covid 19. Chris also reminded about the Rotary Foundation Celebration virtual event in November 12th at 7:00 PM. There will be a raffle at this event. Chris has donated an item on our behalf (Olive Garden gift certificate). District Conference scheduled on May 1st in Meredith NH or virtual option too.
New Generations Committee. Early Act Club is doing well. Jeanne was not available for an update.
Community Service, Gerry Carrier. We are on track for the Christmas Tree Sale. Tree drop off scheduled for the Saturday after Thanksgiving. More news to follow on this. He provided a quick recap of the Auction that was discussed earlier. He made another appeal for Greener Bow to work on the fall roadside pickup
