President Ben opened the meeting at 07:30 and greeter Ken shared some inspiration.

Ben Kiniry – Reminding our in-person members about the club’s 4 to a table and mask wearing rules.  Board will be discussing at the next meeting so if you have thoughts, let Ben know.

Dave Scanlan – Nominations for club awards needed by end of weekend.

Matt Gatzke – Please send him your plans to attend our 50^th event and if you will be brining a guest.  He needs the headcount for our April 30^th event

Peter Imse – Summer Concerts planning going well.

Still need some help with town meeting night.

Gerry Carrier - Car Show – Going well.  Emails have gone out to car owners.  Registrations starting to come in.  Still in need some trophy sponsors.

Dick Swett – Interact Club had a Zoom call with their sister school in Cabo Verde last week.  They are collecting for school supplies to be shipped end of March by National Guard.

Ben Kiniry - Read an Alton Rotary Club anniversary event invitation.

Donna Deos – Winy buck - Starsea leaves to go back home after a nice visit.

Eric Anderson – Town’s Annual Report is available.

Jon Ruggles – Happy it’s March and closer to golf season.  Also that their Texas daughter sent them tickets to go to TX next month.

Aron Labrie – Learning with the new business how to balance her time between work & family.

Judy Goodnow – her son and his family coming up for a visit this weekend.

PDG Tony Gilmore – remembered the time he and Chris Parkinson went to VT to jump out of an airplane for Pure Water.  Actually, it was Chris doing the jumping, Tony was just taking pictures.

Visiting Rotarian Bill Mayo – grateful for the visit to see how we run our meetings.

Dean’s guest speaker was Matt Fisk – Assistant Principal at BHS.

Matt is very grateful for the opportunity to work on diversity, inclusion in our schools.

The goal is to empower students to choose how to act and be good people regardless of their race.

There is no scientific basis for race.  Race is a social construct that can change from state to state and time to time.

Matt went on to describe how the SAU is building a culture of diversity, inclusion and understanding into the school curriculum at all levels.  Very impressive.
