Announcements:
  • President Matt indicated that the club has been meeting over Zoom for 4 months already
  • Judy Goodnow updated the club on the status of the Old Town Hall project: about half way done removing the wallpaper. Any club members wanting to assist please reach out to Judy.
  • Matt Dodge gave an update on club visioning: every 5 years the vision plan is updated, and things are being finalized and will be coming to club members soon
  • Auction committee members are discussing logistics now for a fall auction.
  • Bob Couch attended a 2-day online conference regarding syncing with the RI system + updates to existing systems that can help the club
  • Mark your calendar: The District Governor will be a guest at our meeting on October 16th
  • Today is the golf tournament in Keene – good luck to all
  • Gale Kenison is the greeter next week

Happy Bucks:    
  • Jeannie Richards: son + wife are expecting second child
  • Bob Couch: 53yr old cousin sadly passed away as a result of ALS
  • Gerry Carrier: 3rd pontoon arrived and has been successfully installed & tested
  • Harry Judd: happy $10 - 2nd grandchild was born recently
  • Paul Mercier – happy $10 – daughter doing well in Helsinki
  • Tom Wilson: happy to have recently celebrated his 48th wedding anniversary
  • Dick Swett: 9th grandchild born 4 days ago w/ two more due in October.
  • Rob Werner: watching the Democratic National convention and noticed Dick Swett in some of the earlier NH-specific clips
  • Mike Gula: kudos to the SAU67 (Bow) school opening plan
  • Rick Minard: Alden’s Covid-19 test returned negative, meaning that he is allowed to return to campus (Clarkson); also for a recent presentation given at the Concord Rotary Club and one of the members recently moved into Bow (new member?)
  • Linda Bliss: youngest grandson moved onto Clarkson campus as well
  • Ben Kiniry: Was there a Rotary pin on Joya’s picture in the Bow Times??
  • Donna Deos – daughter will be 30 already (where has time gone?)
  • Chris Parkinson – happy to have recently celebrated his 46th wedding anniversary (happy $10)
  • Karen Wadsworth: happy buck for her dad as he was able to get a haircut
  • Stephen DeStafano: for the recent Concord Monitor article on the sunset baseball league and for Beth Greenwood – the first female player (postion: catcher) to play in the league’s history
Program:   Club Assembly
Paul Mercier: Treasurer report: no financial activities; $17,253 club treasury balance as of the end of July -  $35,878 net assets on foundation side
 
Betsey Patten: Secretary report: reminder that Rotary Club Dues are now due. Attendance figures averaging 32 members throughout July. Postal address for dues/checks: P.O. Box 1935 – Bow – 03304
 
Joya Dennehy: Members offering happy bucks please be mindful of amounts and send checks to Betsey Patten (address above). Watch for email with total amount due to date.
 
Club service level reports followed including:
Club Service: vision plan coming soon
Vocational: no updates
International: no updates
New generations: Interact/EarlyAct co-corricular schedules  are still being planned
Community service: car show would have been this Sunday – focus now on the auction with updates coming soon. Christmas tree planning to begin soon as well.
