Announcements:
Katie Minihan - Four-Way speech on March 19. Applications open until March 10. Committee meets March 13. Setup is 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Dave Farr suggested Interactors try recruiting more students.
Dave Scanlan reported on campership applications. Two applications approved last week. Waiting for March 10th deadline - will review any new applications after that.
Club received thank you from Shelter Box for our $500 donation. (we are now “Heros Award” level) and from NH Special Olympics.
Gerry Carrier got approval from Selectboard for a stone marker at rotary park. Seeking a local source for stone if possible. Granite blocks from historic properties if large enough are available from the town.
Madeline, Emily and Laura reported for Interact. Tonight is their Bingo Night @ 5:30. They are planning Easter celebrations. Will help on April 12 with town event and on April 19 with the Easter “Egging” fundraiser. They will be making meals for NH Food Bank. Also participating in the March 31 Waypoint Sleep Out.
Gerry Carrier mentioned the Vision Committee needs to meet to review and update the plan by May.
Board will be discussing efforts to support the Concord Fireman and Bow resident who passed away this week. Next week, the club will be collect donations which will likely be matched by the board.
More details received from Sarah Tisdale about her donation. Scholarship will be named for her mom, Nancy Elaine Tisdale. Her wish is that the money be dispersed over the next 10-12 years.

Chris Parkinson: Great trip to Honduras. 25th year. Incredible team of doctors took part. Gave out uniforms to kids at the school named for him. Had an adventure getting to the airport to fly out to meet a cruise gifted by his children. Made the flight. They enjoyed time in the Bahamas and Florida. Returned home to no water at their home.
Dean Cascadden: Was in New Orleans for Mardi Gras and attended a superintendents’ conference. Bow was mentioned/recognized during a presentation which was a proud moment.
Tony Gilmore: Got his Canadian citizenship and was pleased that he only had to pay $10 for breakfast and not $12 (pre-tariff’s).
Peter Imse: Reminded all to vote on Tuesday and attend the business meeting on Wednesday. He thanked members who counted ballots. He asked for more volunteers to work the business meeting.
Durwood Sargent: Grandson had a great trip to Spain and Morrocco.
Ben Kiniry: Will help out Peter at the town meeting next Wednesday. Reminded all about the school meeting. He realized too late that he had a court date this morning. He thanked those who stepped up to help with setup and Matt for doing the Bulletin.
Mike Gula: Reached out to Liam Wells (scholarship winner) about his movie. He will screen his movie for us at a future event. Was thankful to run into Matt and Joya at the library.
Linda Bliss: Gave a Happy Buck for the Interactors who attended today.
Gerry Carrier: He was happy he got to ski all winter at Sunapee. He had a great time skiing with his 15-year-old grandson. Gerry skied at least one or two more runs than the teenager who was wiped out.

Program: Classification Talk
Tamar Roberts offered part two of her talk.
She moved to Bow in 1957 to a new home her parents built. She still lives in that home. Went to Bow and Concord schools. She told us about her adventures in childbirth living in Labrador. Not easy to get to or from the hospital in winter. Arrived home via snowmobile to a home buried in snow. Friends shoveled a path “down” to their front door! She worked three jobs (hotel bookkeeper…took baby to work; worked for an apartment complex for single moms and the elderly; church treasurer) 3 years there. Returned to NH after the closure of the cod fisheries where her husband had been delivering fuel. She went back to the same firm in Concord which she had left. She and a business partner started Roberts and Greene in 2009 specializing in town audits. She retired in 2022. She still does review work as an independent auditor. She was one of five children. Both parents were attorneys. Mom stepped away from the law to raise their family. She was selectman, served on the budget committee and was a marital master. Dad was school moderator and a library trustee. Dad was attorney general in the early 60s and ran for governor in ’64 (one of six candidates on the Republican ticket).
President Gerry closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
