President Gerry presented Matt Dodge with his second Paul Harris Fellow.
We received a thank you note for supporting the students who received scholarships from Cole Tucker, a scholarship recipient.

Chris Parkinson - Attended Delta Dental event for 50th anniversary of CsONE Benefit Solutions, a company he helped start. The company is thriving right now seeing record sales.
Mike Griffin - Nice to be back. Had a crazy, busy June. His son Andrew got married in early June.
Matt Dodge - Thank you for the Paul Harris Fellow. Happy to see his business partner Billy at the meeting. They work together and then compete against each other skiing racing at Pats Peak.
Bill Chapin – Matt Dodge is a wonderful business partner. He wins every night of racing.
Ken Moulton - Good to be back and happy that Jackie is chauffeuring him right now and acting as nurse among all the other amazing duties she has done over the course of their marriage.
David Gazaway - Celebrated 24th anniversary at Bedford Village Inn.
Peter Imse - His mom died at 102 years old.
Judy Goodnow - Son and kids visited her in Boothbay. 4-year-old asked for dangerous tools. Saw fireflies for 10 nights in a row.
Ryan Anastasi - Concert was wonderful. He won the 50/50, which was $22. Kendra and he are going to Nashville next week for the Fourth of July.
Matt Gatzke - 10th year of being a member of Bow Rotary.
Mike Ard - Thank you to Chris coming from his other event to the concert to sing.
Eric Anderson - Went on the first camping trip of the year. Saw the biggest moose he has ever seen on the way up to Errol on Rt 16.
Linda Bliss - Thank you for the barbecue last weekend.
Mike Gula - Also thought the barbecue was a lot of fun.
Gerry Carrier - Went to see a play that his youngest granddaughter was a mermaid in. Happy for changing of the gavel.

Gerry gave a few words about what a great club this is. He said it’s a privilege not only to be a member of this club but to lead this club. Being president gives you a different view of all the members. (Promised bathroom breaks before listing accomplishments and giving thanks.)

Carol Neigisch for coordinating and organizing the 1st grade book readings
Marker at Rotary Park
Car show still made over $11,000 despite rain because of the sponsors
Linda Bliss and Dave Scanlan for recognition night
Thanks to breakfast and set-up crew, the work is behind the scenes so you don’t really see it
The club donated a picnic table to the library
Awarded the first Elaine Tisdale scholarship along with 6 others
Barb Griffin for Friday morning reminders
Bob Couch for everything he does from mowing for the car show to keeping the website in order
Tamar Roberts for being treasurer
Bill Ames for being secretary
Board of Directors for their patience
Publicity team for all the coverage in the Bow Times and other places

Peter Imse for updating the bylaws to include Hooksett

Generosity of the club is amazing, took several collections this year
Ben Kiniry’s persistence is crazy with his grant project

Membership team for picking up extra duties and coming up with social events
Interact and Early Act coming to the meetings
Tanya Frost for doing a great job as Sargent-at-Arms and breaking the $ record
Greeters and people who brought in speakers for the program
Dave Scanlan for recommending camperships
Mike Gula for the cornhole boards

Lastly, Gerry thanked everyone for the support, friendship and fun that the club has given him.

Dick Swett was introduced as incoming president. Dick said a few words and will use the accomplishments and thank you list as a baseline for the upcoming year.

Dick presented Gerry with his past president badge and a plaque with a gavel.

Gerry got a standing ovation for the past year.

Dick warned us that he tends to be an emotional speaker and true to his word teared up while speaking about his father.

Dick thanked everyone, would like to get the Hooksett club up to full strength and would like to add more people to the Bow club. Talked about including each other in our family events, would like to spend more time with each other in a social environment. Encouraged everyone to share stories of inspiration with each other. Would like to spend time this year focusing on international relationships.

Note: Dick won’t be here for the 11th or the 18th meeting so Tanya will need to step up.

Bill Chapin ended by saying the Hopkinton club has always looked up to Bow.

President Dick closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
