Raffle Tickets –an opportunity to sell raffle tickets at the Town Halloween party Oct 24th;
Bow Community Meeting was attended by Mike Griffin and he relayed that Mike Cotton from Merrimack Valley Voice had attended to mentioned his paper has 8 pages for advertising. Mike also announced that the annual PTO Annual Skate & Ski sale is Oct 17th 8 – noon @ Community Center and is looking for volunteers, The Bow Men’s Club is having a Lobster Feast Oct 18th @ Bow Community Building from 5-8:00 PM;
Bow Rotary Board Meeting President Donna announced that this month’s board meeting is this Monday Oct 6th at Mark Lavalles’s home @ 6:00 PM;
Interact Michelle Fortin updated the club on activities the Interact club have been involved with such as Purple Ribbon Lacrosse and Road Side Pick-up;
Chris Parkinson informed the club of an upcoming International trip to Honduras in February 2015, he mentioned that Rotaract team is also going and that there is an opportunity for Interact to go to Nicaragua as well.

Birthdays: Robert mentioned that there were no birthdays and then found out that Peter Imse’s birthday was missed. Peter said it was a year of recovery for him as he has recovered from a knee replacement and Lyme Disease. He then shared a funny story and the club had a good laugh.
Fines: Logo Fines were administered to Paul Rizzi and John Ruggles. A weekly event.
Happy Bucks: President Donna was Happy as she saw a picture of Ron Bessette on FB in high heels in support of Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event;
Tamar R mentioned her son attends University of Newfoundland and it’s only $1500 a semester;
Chris P was happy that his daughter is doing better after having twins and back home;
Mike G was happy that he and his son Andrew were able to spend some time together and completed a hike up Mt Mansfield in VT.
Paul R was glad to be able to empty his garage as Oct 4 is Hazardous Waste collection day;
Jeannie G was happy as she was able to attend her cousin’s son’s wedding and that there would be a Red Moon viewing (hopefully) on Wednesday Oct 8 due to a Lunar Eclipse;
Tom W shared a story about his grand-daughter, bottom line – Get a Hula Hoop = Get $

Gail K introduced Deb Bourbeau the Town of Bow Welfare the Human Services director. Deb has been the director for 14 years. She spoke about the services the organization assists with such as Fuel assistance for those families who are struggling, and rides for those that need it. She helps families learn to budget their funds and to use their resources wisely. She also acts as a liaison to link families with other services they may need. She mentioned how they are involved providing food baskets for Thanksgiving and serve approx. 30-40 families and at Christmas time involved with Toys for Tots and provide for approx. 60 families. She is looking for volunteers on Dec 22 @ White Rock for help with food baskets/delivery. For anyone looking to help she can be contacted at Town Hall 228-1187 ext. 119.
