Announcements:
  • Karen Wadsworth recouping in Concord. Thanks to all who have reached out to her. Still not able to connect for meetings.
  • Matt Gatzke - shared 2 appreciation letters from the Mullen family, scholarship recipients.
  • Matt Gatzke - shared that he received a notification from Althea Barton, that Kimball Jenkins has a program on February 16th, discussing the historical significance of structures in Concord.
  • RLI North East – 2 virtual upcoming events, March 27th and March 13th. Get info at RLINEA.org
  • Braden (BHS Interact club) - planning a Powder Puff day, also teaming up with Langtos Foundation for event
  • Rick Minard commented on the 4-way test. Still happening. Looking for judges. Dean Cascadden commented that there is 1 application so far.
  • Judy Goodnow – Plasterer at Town Hall hopefully next week. Judy received the wallpaper.
  • Dean Cascadden - Career Days going virtual. More detail to come.
  • Dick Swett – International Foundation project is on hold for now.
  • Matt Gatzke – Recognition awards event. Asked folks to think about what that might look like this year.
  • Gerry Carrier – a reminder to all who have not welcomed Carol to club, should do so. Joya Dennehy will reconcile the books next week.

Birthday: Paul Mercier had 64th birthday end of January. Had allot of changes, got engaged, sold cottage, sold business, wrote $1000 to foundation. Looking for more time in the garden and travelling
 
Happy Bucks:    
  • $5 Paul Mercier appreciated assistance from Bob Dawkins, Peter Imse and Ben Kiniry with all his activities over the last year
  • Chris Parkinson happy that he got his 1st Covid shot
  • Rob Werner – enjoyed a day of skiing
  • Bob Couch and Rosemary went skiing at Pats, back home by lunch
  • David Scanlan – election committee meeting on Friday mornings, will be a juggling exercise.
  • Chuck Rheinhardt – grandson Wyatt won his 100th competition in wrestling at BHS
  • Donna Deos – 4 years at Mason & Rich, assisting with transition at firm. Managing director Jeff Kipperman transitioned to Leslie walker. Donna looking for next adventure.

Mike Griffin announced Susan Stearns – NAMI -National Alliance on Metal Institute, a grassroots 501c3 organization.

 
1 in 5 US adults experience mental illness, I in 25 US adults experience serious mental illness, 17% of youth experience a mental disorder. COVID has had a significant impact on population. Suicide has become a significant concern in NH. Needs for beds have increased from 71 tin 2017, to 86 in 2021. Direct influence from Covid.

Tips for this Marathon of Patience
Get outside, get plenty sleep, get exercise, Nutrition, drink plenty water, practice gratitude, stay connected, check-in with neighbors, friends and loved ones. Be festive, treat yourself to something you enjoy, get creative, light some candles, be direct with your comfort, be kind to yourself, practice saying no- this will be the best predictor of how busy you will be next week.
