- District governor’s conference is May 30. There will also be an evening event at Frog Brewing – Chris Parkinson
- Service project: Pine Ridge Indian Reservation – Dick Swett back packs for children
- Four Way Speech Contest – March 31 – starts 6:30 doors open 6:00
- Email from Angela Petrone regarding her son Ethan regarding Rotary exchange program
- Phil Nadeau – corn hole tournament May 19
- Insurance Survey from Rotary International – Tanya is taking care of it
- Spring cleanup will be April 18 – Ben Kiniry

Birthdays: Matt Gatzke – Worked the election Tuesday and making $ 100 donation to foundation. Enjoyed first year of retirement, travel to Alaska, Seattle, Fort Wayne and the Poconos. Spent 34th year family camp in Sweden, Maine. Still working on his bowling, giving tours at the Zimmerman House and Kahill House. Awarding first scholarship in daughter Emily’s name at Boston Children’s hospital. They plan on staying in their home but doing a number of remolding projects.

Happy Bucks:
- Sad buck form Dick Swett the grandson hockey team lost in Semifinals 2-1 but is going to the Airforce Academy
- David Gazaway – 8 cars pre-registered for car show
- Peter Imse – town meeting went well and school board meeting tonight
- Dave Scanlan – visited polling places including Bow with the Governor. Now off to Danbury to boil some maple syrup
- Barb Griffin – Hunter took 2 place in D3 150 pound weight class wrestling
- Durwood Sargent – Showed up at the old town hall last week but we were on zoom
- Karen Wadsworth – Thankful for her computer customer support team
- Tanya Frost – Steel Chef event – needed 500 pounds of meat but happy to meet Chef Irvine
- Tamar Roberts – Happy to help with Town meeting and mother was first female selectman in Bow
- Peter Imse – Town meeting held Memorial School with new layout
- Matt Dodge – missed meeting due to ski racing but won at Pat’s Peak and New England League race in Purbeck
- Mike Griffin – Company won BOB Awards best support on benefits for last 9 of 10 years.
Program: Bill Ames did program on his trip to the Galapagos Islands. Bill and his wife also went to Ecuador, visiting Cloud Forest, and the Amazon river. The started in Quito which is 9,250 ft above sea level and there was a riot in the town because the governor raised diesel fuel prices. They saw the largest all aluminum Virgin Mary statue. The Cloud Forest was at 8,800 ft and it doesn’t rain just clouds. They went to a butterfly sanctuary were they feed on bananas and oranges. They went up the Napo river in canoes with 2, 50 horsepower engines. They saw green Iguanas , 20 foot anaconda, fire ants, piranhas and 2 and 3 toed sloths. They then took an 8 day cruise around the Galapagos islands. They saw Green sea turtles, Blue-footed boobies, Red-footed boobies and Masked boobies plus penguins. Saniago island had large lava fields, sea lions and tortoises. They also saw Chilean flamingos, sea lions and Marine Iguanas. A trip of a lifetime.
President Dick closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
