- Pres Tanya - BACtoberfest will be on 9/26. Should we have a table? If so, how do we get attendees to pay attention to us? Volunteers or those with ideas should call Tanya.
- Dave Farr - Board approved $2200 gift to BMS to acquire a projector. Possible future donation to fund a 3-D printing lab still in the works.
- Ken Moulton - Have two foursomes signed up so far for District Golf. Anyone else want to play?
- Peter Imse - Don’t forget to vote in the Primary on 9/8. Also, he needs volunteers to help pre-count ballots at the Municipal Building at 8:45 on 9/4.

Program:
Our speaker was Louie Lwanga of the Kampala, Uganda Metropolitan Rotary Club. His interest in Rotary started when, as an Interact student, he was impressed by the Rotarian advisors whom he met. He said that Rotary is “very big” in Africa. He noted that there are many needs, and that his club tries to help in any way that it can. His club’s projects include building a health center to treat an underserved rural community, and working to restore a Greenbelt in the central city area. The club is also participating in a countrywide Rotary project to build a new cancer treatment hospital. He observed that in his Rotary visits all over the world, he sees the same sense of purpose: how can we make a positive impact on our world and local communities? In answer to questions, he said that he is currently living in the US as a Permanent Resident with his mother and sister, but expects that he will return to Uganda someday to share what he has learned here.
President Tanya closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
