Correspondence: Dylan Wheeler extends his thanks for his scholarship award, and Goffstown Rotary extended their thanks for the car show support. They had 111 cars.
Announcements:
Donna Deoss: Recognition night went very well. Thank you to all that attended. A Paul Harris +1 pin was also presented to Rick Minard.
Dave Scanlan: Summer concerts are beginning soon. First concert is 7/10 (Concord Coachmen) and the last is 8/14
Sandy Eldredge: Strawberry festival is on 6/25. Be sure to attend!
Gale Kenison: “Read-In” went very well – great group of students. Also, the new committee schedules are available.
Eric Anderson: Presented some ‘good news/bad news’ for the club: The good news is that we have 51 active Bow Rotarians, and went from a 93.9% attendance rate to a more recent 93.98% attendance rate. For the bad news – dues are in the mail, and don’t forget that they have increased. Also, please consider committing to your membership through the next year.
Mike Griffin: Reminded everyone that next Friday is the ‘changing of the gavel’ and that there is no meeting on 7/1

Birthdays: Dave Scanlan (6/14) said the year went well – and noted that his birthday is celebrated on the same day as Donald Trump. Bryant Stevener recently celebrated a birthday and offered $5
Happy Bucks:
Judy Goodnow gave a happy $20 as her son defended his thesis and now has his doctorate – and she visited her alma maters as part of a recent H.S. reunion. Mike Fortier did his roadside pickup with Mark Lavalle, and they found some interesting undergarments. Tamar Roberts thanked Judy for filling in at recognition night, and for her recent trip to see her son’s graduation. Tom Ives celebrated 3 different anniversaries, and gave $100 toward the Foundation. Dean Cascadden was happy to have Matt Dodge join the group for breakfast, and paid to allow Matt to say a few words. Steve DeStefano announced that he just finished dropping off his grandson at the last day of school. Rick Minard gave a thank you for his Paul Harris distinction. Ben Kiniry gave a happy $10 for a recent wedding anniversary and for making a rather substantial find while doing roadside pickup (he found the title to a Grappone truck). Jon Ruggles gave $10 for coaching the winning softball team. Dave Gazaway gave a happy $5 for Miles Rheinhardt’s (Chuck’s grandson) little league baseball performance and $5 for an upcoming RV cross country excursion with the family.
Raffle:
Dave Scanlan had the winning ticket, but the 10 of hearts wasn’t the winning card.
Speaker:
Jon Ruggles announced the speaker – fellow Bow Rotarian Dick Swett. Dick had spoken to the club earlier in the month about his time as U.S. Ambassador to Denmark – and today was a continuation. Dick talked about examples of how he emphasized family during his stay, as well as how – under his leadership – he also emphasized a new teamwork structure. Finally, Dick touched on his and his family’s experiences regarding life with the Danes – and suggested that anyone given the chance to be a foreign diplomat should accept it.
