Bryant Stevener - his daughter’s brain tumor has not grown at all! Also, he had a cracked tooth pulled, it took a while, but he is glad it’s done.

Steve DeStefano - he went to Minnesota to watch the Red Sox and meet up with Rotary friends, reminisced about old times.

Chris Parkinson - a sad buck, PDG Joe Pratt, one of his friends passed away. Another friend of his became an international director, only 17 of those positions in Rotary across the world, well done!

Eric Anderson - A very happy buck, he went camping in Virginia for a week and there was no rain! He went to a Big Foot Coffee Shop and had a great cup of coffee.

Durwood Sargent - He missed the concert last night, he was up at his son’s place helping with electrical work, helping to rewire a place that his son bought. And his grandson loves skylights!

Mike Griffin - he likes to live vicariously through his kids, his son Andrew got married recently, he and his new wife Hannah just closed on a house in Bartlett, NH. They both work remotely and they love to ski! 

Dave Scanlon - US DOJ has been asking for each state’s voter list, Dave responded by saying NH state law does not allow him to share the list. His counterpart, the Secretary of State in Maine told the DOJ to “Go jump in the Gulf of Maine!”

Mike Ard - he was down in TX visiting his daughter, had a nice time, the weather was too hot!

Mike Gula - his daughter and Dave Farr’s daughter are on a trip to Prince Edward Island in Canada. Mike’s daughter’s boyfriend broke up with her a few weeks ago, she was distraught. Mike bought her roses, consoled her, and she is doing better, moving forward. He also talked about how well he did playing golf. He is going to Block Island today off the coast of RI. 

Ryan Anastasi - he and his Dad achieved 4th place in a cornhole competition in Haverhill, MA! It was a fundraiser to support the Structured Outpatient Addiction Program (SOAP).

Dave Farr - fined for calling Dave “Mr. Gazaway” 

Dave Gazaway - he was surprised at how many people asked him why he was sitting at a different table today, he was told by Dave Farr that he would be fined if he sat at his usual same table. He has enjoyed chatting with friends at this other table!

Matt Dodge: He has loved car racing since he was a kid. He loved going to Loudon with his Dad to see cars race every fall. Matt also loves ski racing as well. Matt has been amateur car racing for 4 years. He talked about endurance racing, it lasts 3 to 12 hours, the car that des the most laps wins. There are multiple drivers involved in each race, people are friendly on the track. 

His team is called “Few Screws Loose” and their car is called the Grinch. They have a small Grinch figurine attached to the top of the car. The car  is also called a “lemon” due to it’s poor condition. 

There are always repairs involved, something breaks every time. He’s learned a lot about cars.

He talked about the 24 hours of lemons race - a competition for racing cars that are in bad shape and race for 24 hours. They encourage themes, and it can be anything, like unicorns, candy, crocs, any whacky things to add to the car. Some people wear costumes too. 

Penalties: they are very strict if you break the rules. You cannot drive aggressively, you cannot pass cars under the yellow flag, you cannot drive in the dirt, you cannot bump into other cars etc.

Next Race: NH Motor Speedway on October 18th - everyone in Rotary is invited to watch!
