Announcements:
  • President Matt reminded members that Board meeting this Monday evening and next week's meeting will be the last meeting of the year.
  • Christmas Trees are sold! Special thanks and resounding applause for the Tree Committee for a job well done.
  • Dinner with the Men’s Club was cancelled: apparently the OTH was double-booked. The dinner will be re-scheduled, and Dave Farr and Dick Swett will have special invitations.
  • Eric Anderson announced that the Visioning Committee will meet after the meeting.
  • Peter Imse had one last birdseed wreath, which was quickly purchased.
  • Eric Anderson also reminded members that a calendar with Town of Bow photos is available for purchase at the Baker Free Library; he did not announce how much his autograph on the calendar would cost.
  • Ben Kiniry commented that Steve Puderbaugh was traveling to Africa and might be able to shed some light on the delays experienced with the International Grant.
  • Dave Gazaway: Bell-ringing sign up is online; there are only a few slots left. Date is December 22, from 10-7 pm.
  • Barbara Griffin was inducted into the Club by Matt Dodge; Donna Deos was her sponsor. She chose our Club because of the camaraderie and joy each Friday morning brings.

Sergeant at Arms: Tanya Frost
Birthdays: None

Fines: If you're guilty, put your money on the table.

Happy Bucks:
  • Mike Ard traveled to Georgia for Thanksgiving with his family; happy that his daughter has a wedding dress.
  • Chris Parkinson announced that this is likely Skit # 28. He enjoyed a meeting with the Pennsylvania Sunrise Club about Amigos, and was able to announce that a library near Danli has been named for a long time leader Dave Lawrence
  • Ryan Anastasi was happy that he and his girlfriend attended a great Bruins game, and in return she bought tickets for the Jingle Ball for this weekend.
  • Dave Farr was thankful that Dick Swett also showed up for the Men’s Club dinner that didn’t happen.
  • Donna Deos attended the 100th anniversary of the Bellows Falls Rotary Club, and welcomed Barb Griffin as a new member.  Also she is very happy it's our annual Skit Day.
  • Tamar Roberts paid a debt and was very happy to be attending two great parties in one week.
  • Steve DeStefano mentioned some game between NH and Maine, and is happy to be headed to Ft Myers to play too.
  • Dean Cascadden says retirement is awesome; he sent pictures to several former colleagues to show them how awesome, and explained some guitar peculiarities. He also noted that getting older means sometimes it is harder to learn new things.
  • Gerry Carrier is happy to be meeting with the Select Board Committee for the Pavilion and is hoping that Nancy Rheinhardt (Chuck’s wife) will attend.
  • Matt Dodge is psyched to have FOUR NEW MEMBERS to end the year. Dave Farr asked when new members are no longer “new” and was told you have to replace yourself in order to be moved from that category.
  • Tanya Frost announced that this is the 50th anniversary of the Boys and Girls Club Auction. Check out bids4kids.org and bid early and often. And she loves this Club!
  • Gerry Carrier reminded members that he will actually pay $5 to the Rotary Foundation for each qualified “ugly” sweater NEXT WEEK.

Program:
Written, produced, directed, and starring Chris Parkinson
“It’s a Wonderful Thing”: a cautionary tale about the possible perils of getting what you wish for, with musical accompaniments by Chris.
“The best one yet”, and “another masterpiece” were the comments from the critics. Congratulations, Chris, you’ve done it again!

Respectfully Submitted,
Judy Goodnow
