Club Assembly and Announcements:
Secretary Report: Bill Ames reported that attendance for June was 84.8% which is in line with the historical average over the past year. Bill has received a large portion of the dues and breakfast payments with about $6,400 outstanding. The majority of this amount is due to members who pay for half year dues and quarterly breakfast. All looks good!
Treasurer’s Report: Brad Abel, our new Treasurer, reported that the Club Account ended June with a balance of $13,169.27. This account is for payments of RI and District dues and breakfasts.
Brad then reported that the Foundation Balance at the end of June was $96,012.14 with an available Equity of $44,923.64.
Committee Reports:
- It was announced that the Club Vision is now available on the Club web site.
- Publicity – Vanessa Palange reported that she realized that businesses of our members are important in getting more visibility for the Club Website. Members were asked to like the Club site in Facebook and Vanessa will “Like” their Facebook Page to get higher rankings.
- Dave Farr mentioned that there is a new Magazine for Bow being distributed and suggested that the Club should contact the producers of a new magazine about Bow. Some discussion took place and members agreed that it is worth a shot.
- Club Admin: Judy Goodnow reminded members to contact her and Bob Couch about any assignment swaps or changes so that they can properly update Clubrunner for the president’s announcements for upcoming assignments. Also, in the notices to members and in the bulletin.
- New Generations: Ryan Anastasi reported that the students are on Summer Break so no activity in Interact until September.
- Auction 2026: Mike Gula and Carol Niegisch reported that the committee is just getting started – letters and new logo are being worked on and will be ready for mailings and promotion in the near future.
- Concerts- Dave Farr and President Tanya announced that over 100 people attended the Freese Brothers Big Band concert which is a big deal since they have been rained out for the past few years. All Concert Supporters’ donations are in. Thank you Sponsors!! Mike Gula shared his observations about a little girl rolling rocks down the hill and then rolling down herself!! What fun!! Popsicles were a big hit! Mike also mentioned that we should take the opportunity of having the local residents in attendance and invite them to join the Club. Gerry Carriermentioned that a banner is available that could be hung, or we could add another handout along with the schedules. President Tanya mentioned that the 50/50 raffle prize winner of $118 donated back $50 to the Club.
- Christmas Trees: Gerry Carrier updated the members on the efforts of himself and Mike Griffin. Several Farms have been contacted and Mike is trying to get updates from the current supplier so that a decision on who we purchase trees from this year. Costs will be higher as we are looking for a better-quality tree. This will be discussed further with members but the price for trees could rise to $80 or so.

Birthdays
Dave Farr celebrated his 50 years by donating a $50 check. Dave explained that it was a great year –Lots going on with his son going to high school and the new job is going well
Happy Bucks:
Dick Swett paid $5 as he is happy to be back from 5 days in Casablanca and Morrocco with wife and daughter Chelsey. Dick and his family attended a Religious Freedom Conference in Africa – Dick reported that Morrocco is a truly open and tolerant society. They attended the Bazaars and met a lot of important contacts. Twenty countries were in attendance at summit.
Chris Parkinson contributed $20 – Chris and his wife had a great adventure on their recent Norway and Iceland trip
Mike Ard – happy to have visited their new grandson – They drove back from Texas and visited the new Obama Presidential Center on the way.
Program: Marcy Kelley introduced Beth Corkum
Beth Spoke about the SAU67 MTSS Program and how it works with the School Districts
Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) in New Hampshire public schools is a data-driven framework utilizing universal screening, team collaboration, and progress monitoring across three progressive levels of academic and behavioral intervention
Beth also works for an organization called “One Trusted Adult”
What she does – Beth called herself a “Professional Connects the Dots Player” working on meeting agendas, trainings for staff, resources information culture, etc.
3 tiers of involvement – universal, targeted, intensive –
Beth used an Analogy of a Dentist – working with students
Tier 1 - Regular checkups – general care – social interactions, emotional learning, etc.
Tier 2 - Orthodontics – Targeted interventions (not forever) short term skill development, etc.
Tier 3 – Intensive Care - wisdom teeth taken out – special operations longer intervention for mental health, etc.

President Tanya closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
