President Gerry opened the meeting at 07:30 and greeter Donna Deos shared some inspiration about Rotary.

Announcements:
- Pres Gerry - Reminder to pay dues. The board is still trying to figure out the cost for breakfast.
- Concrete is in for the marker at Rotary Park.
- Maps have been printed. They will be available at the Bow Rec, Fire Department, town offices, library, bank, church and a variety of businesses. Would like it added to the website.
- Concerts: signup sheet is going around with some spots still open in July and August. Still have several emcee spots open. About $1,000 short on fundraising goal. Dave Farr will bring signs to put up.
- Clothing order reminder. $20 credit ends July 1.
- Paul Harris fellow close to 20,000 points. Can be a 100% Paul Harris club. Paul Mercier is willing to match dollar amounts with his points. Paul will use points to get people who don’t have Paul Harris recognition already to get one. People interested can contact Bill Ames and they will work to make sure paperwork is done properly.
- Dick Swett -$1,000 for grant. Total of $2,000. Was unable to get other clubs on board before the deadline.
- Hooksett Rotary blood drive is Monday, June 9. Also collecting donations for the backpack drive
- No meeting next Friday as we will hold recognition night on Thursday at the Baker Free Library. This will count as our weekly meeting. Recognition night starts at 6 p.m.
- Sign up sheet going around for our spring event on Saturday, June 21.
Sergeant at Arms: Tanya Frost
Birthdays: David Gazaway - Business is good. Both boys will be at UNH soon. Wendy is doing well.
Mike Gula - Goatee got whiter overnight. Was out of work for 5.5 months, did a lot of committee work for Rotary. Ready to kill it for the auction this fall. Handed out scholarships at the high school on Monday night (his birthday). Feels very connected to the community by being in Rotary.

Matt Gatzke - Had no badge on last week but no one noticed.
Happy Bucks: Marcy Kelley - Happy 25. Son graduated from UVM, oldest daughter got married. Next week goes to Fort Benning with son.
Peter - Had an Early Act meeting yesterday. Asked students what they thought about the Rotary meeting last week. Students said they were surprised we do things around the world.
Linda Bliss happy to see Paul in person.
David Gazaway - For the car show and participation
Steve Destefano - Blossom Hill Cemetery tour. Sunset league started this week. Not coaching for the first time in forever.
Katie Minihan - Younger brother getting married on Saturday.
Dave Farr - Former exchange student surprised his daughter. He missed his setup committee assignment twice. This time because he set his alarm for p.m. instead of a.m.
Gerry Carrier - Granddaughter coming back from Wyoming. 54th wedding anniversary.
Durwood Sargent - Grateful for Paul being in person. Daughter got back from Spain. Grandson graduating on Friday.
Program: Jerry Kingwill introduced our speaker, Tim Sink, president and CEO of Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce.
Transition under way at the Chamber. This month is his 33rd year at the Chamber. Established a search committee and have done outreach for new president and CEO. Doing first-round interviews with eight candidates probably next week. Hope to have final candidate selected by end of June/early July. They would start in September.
Milestones since he has been at the Chamber:
- Mayor challenged Chamber to report about difficulty of developing in Concord. Presented report to City Council. Helped elevate relationships in the business community.
- Redevelopment of Horseshoe Pond. Initially wanted to build civic center. Project morphed into the Grappone Conference Center.
- Part of the Main Street project. Had a seat at the table.
- Launched Leadership Greater Concord.
- Capital Area Student Leadership. Focuses on high school sophomores.
- Concord Young Professional Network.
Questions:
Melissa Howard - What’s next? He is looking for work because he doesn’t want to be unemployed.
Ben Kiniry - What’s the next big project for next person? Promoting this region as a visitor destination. We don’t take full advantage of tourism.
President Gerry closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary the world over.
